Anybody been diagnosed with burning mouth syndrome? I have been suffering on and off for over 3 years and wondering if there's anything I haven't tried to help with the pain.
I must admit, I had never heard of Burning Mouth Syndrome until you mentioned it. Mayo Clinic has a page on it that you might consult if you haven't already. My wife has some issues with dry mouth, but she remedies it with the OTC stuff available at most drug stores.
I have researched it quite a bit. I was diagnosed between my primary care physician, dentist, endodontist and oral surgeon. It's been given more attention lately and I was wondering if anyone personally had any input.
My brief reading of a single internet page says it lasts 4-6 months. I did not read further. Does it go away after that length of time? Does it reoccur?
