Isn't Miracle Whip just mayo with sugar in it? Never cared for it but I love a sandwich with mayo, although it is not supposed to be good for us.
Meatloaf is one of my favorites, in Nevada every time I drove to Vegas I would stop at the Klondike Casino and I would have their special Meatloaf. It was great, an old WWII vet would go with me sometimes and he would have their special a huge plate of Strawberry Short Cake, he wouldn't have a lunch just the cake. In the town I lived seniors could have supper for 3.50 Monday til Friday night. It was a five star dinner with everything on the line you wanted no limits. Drinks coffee and desert. Hard to find a deal like that anywhere in the world. They did frown a bit if caught stuffing a doggy bag, which I did have two dogs at the time and they liked 5 star meals also.
Myself I was always partial to the Salad Dressing and not the Mayo, hard to find it in my store I shop. I think most people feel like you do and they just don't buy the Salad Dressing. One of my very favorite sandwich spreads was always the Philadelphia Cheese spread with the crushed Pineapple mix. Gezz they act like it's crushed gold now and so expensive.
Strawberry shortcake sounds good, I haven't had that in a long time. Finding a great place like that now is like a needle in a haystack. Haven't even thought about me being a senior, and getting a discount. Marie and I quit eating out years ago, but a place like that's a different story. I always try to bring my dogs something back too.
Slamon patties, Pork& beans 'usually have coleslaw but out of cabbage', french fries. Cranberry sauce.
Mexican restaurant. I'm having a beef chimichanga with guac, lettuce and tomato, and some queso. Of course a cold Corona while my husband and daughter have margaritas and chicken fajitas.
We are having a BBQ lunch as it’s Father’s Day in Aussie land today It’s only Hubby and I so we will eat inside
I was headed your way for dinner until you said cranberry sauce...what pray tell is the cranberry sauce for?
Cranberry sauce should be served with ALL meals ! I buy several cans each week and have some every day. I love cranberries !
We have been invited over to my son’s house (he recently moved here from Idaho to find a better job), and will be having a picnic lunch together. We are having hot dogs and potato salad (I just finished making it !), and we got him a cheesecake for his birthday cake since his birthday was on Saturday. I am looking forward to visiting together with my son and daughter-in-law; so it will be an awesome day, and an enjoyable meal.
