LEFTOVERS !!! I made a mushroom sauce to go over the reheated moose meat.. I still have 2 meals left for the both of us.. steamed green and yellow beans
I made pot roast, potatoes and carrots yesterday. I ate cottage cheese and GS was out late & ate out. So.... looks like we re-heat it for tonight.
It's early morning...I've just had coffee and wholemeal toast... Tonight I'll probably be having Kangaroo steaks...
For supper last night (Saturday) I made a casserole.. Chicken B/S breast cubed, loads of veggies, cheese, herbs and spices in a pot.. I added some small pasta and put it into a loaf pan.. Added more cheese on top and baked it till the top starts to brown.. Added some fresh parsley on top and ...VOILA .... A casserole for supper.....
For tonight (Sunday) I am thinking of using the BBQ... Perhaps some steaks would be nice.. how about that celery root ???? Time to use it ..........
Holly how do you manage to stop the Kangaroo steaks from hopping off the plate What do they taste like by the way have never tried them? @Holly Saunders
It's quite gamey , but not overly so....they are extremely lean, very little fat in them. They only need cooking for a short time. Have you ever had Ostrich?..it's quite similar in taste
I am not that fond of gamey meat really, so probably wouldn't like it or Ostrich meat either, though spending so much time with their heads in the sand, I would imagine it's a tad gritty
I see @Terry Page has already asked that question of you @Holly Saunders....so can you tell me if Kangeroo taste like dark meat or white?
I have some minced Moose that I will defrost and make some Moose Burgers on the BBQ.. Caramelized onions with cut mushrooms to go on top of the burgers.. No buns, just burgers..
