7-11 sells different size hot dogs. The regular ones are 1/8th of a pound. The large ones are 1/4th of a pound, or a quarter pound. I shoulda got the small one and held off on the chili-in-a-pump. *burp*
I went to a diner up the road that's been there since the 1950s. Got fried mushrooms and an open face roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes & gravy. I'll probably have some leftover mushrooms with spaghetti for dinner tonight.
I bought two packs of smoked sausage and a big tomato. Really taste good and that's a double tap says the cats. The smallest cat is a real chow hound, he cleans the other 2 bowls and with this sausage he jumps on the head of the bed near my back and sits there waiting for a chance to lick my bowl clean. The sausages are lick proof and nothing left by any of us to be licked. I should do this more often.
I went into Charlottesville to do some grocery shopping and I had lunch at a chain kabob place called Sticks. I got the Kibbeh (spiced lamb meatballs), rice, cold green bean salad, small lettuce/tomato salad, and flatbread. I would have preferred Chinese buffet, but the place I like caught fire over 6 months ago and has been in a carryout-only mode ever since. It looks like this mode will be a semi-permanent thing.
I went to the grocery store after getting a haircut to grab one of their outstanding sandwiches, and saw they sold quiche. Since it's been chilly/rainy/overcast from the hurricane, that looked like the better lunch. It was good.
