A perfect fall day here. Scattered clouds, mild temperature. Rain coming tonight but we need the rain.
Hurricane Ian is a treat, so will bath the dogs [ like we feel like that now] in case we have to leave, get things tied down, Storm not so much but the tornados that come off these are really bad. Gov. Desantis declared State Of Emergency,calle3d in N.G..
Raining AGAIN ….so unusual for South Aust which is the driest state in Australia and 16c …. 60f brrrrrr This is supposed to be spring where temps should be mid 20’s
Kate here in the sunshine state all its done this year is rain every day, thank goodness we do have morning early afternoon sun some of those days. Humidity is bad most of the time.
We rarely get humid weather in summer due to being a dry state ,Queensland is beautiful in …winter like a spring day ..however summer is dreadful always humid so we stay clear of QLD in the warmer months . Darwin which is right up the top of Aust ( above us) is the exact same temp ..everyday of the year usually about 32c …89f and extremely humid ..I don’t like humid weather at all @Marie Mallery
@Marie Mallery -- are y'all close to the coast at all? What are they predicting for your area from the hurricane?
No not close at all we are in mid northern Florida, our main concern are the tornados that come off these storms plus we do get strong winds and floods form them, but we are not in a flood zone. No telling yet where it is going to hit.
I'm in the middle of Virginia and we're supposed to get tons of rain from the hurricane, starting tomorrow afternoon and continuously raining into Monday sometime.
Ian has turned more to the east and it looks like it may come very close to us here. They were expecting it to go to the west nearer the mountains. The 5 PM advisory has it closer to Raleigh. If it keeps east, it could go right over my house. But it looks like the wind will have died down a lot by then. The biggest danger would be flooding which won't be a threat to my house.
