This is like our snake grabber, it is easy to use. Snakes are good for control of rodents and the environment. Hubby just took the same snake back into the woods 5 minutes ago. He is beginning to be a problem. This is our grabber, he puts the poisonous ones in the bag and takes them further into the woods if they come back 3 times ,its 3 strikes and they are out, he kills them.
Without reading the whole thread, let me guess. Someone mentioned a snake so, all of a sudden, the thread is about snakes. It's not. It's about aging.
I know its not funny but your way with words is, Made me laugh out loud. I have a problem finding clothes online that fit. Seems they don't cater to seniors. And they sent me a different pair of shoes than I ordered.
I'm old but So far I still have a little life left in me, so I need to use it before I lose it, So hope that van gets well. Who here feels like age isn't whats holding them back but circumstances? Poor Jake works so hard to be stuck here. Anyone do any traveling in states feel vulnerable because of age? I do but I'm ready to take a chance and escape the woods for a while.
I just make sure that I stick my head in a vat of brown stuff after every hair cut. Otherwise I look a bit like I have a skunk on my head.
I've changed my from who I get asvice or help to a new lad yesterday. A qwoman same age as Patty here to a new one,
How to get from old to older? Here is the secret of Li Ching-Yuen who lived to 256 years. 256 years old? No way says Snopes: Li Ching-Yuen: 256-Year-Old Man? | Snopes.com But Wikipedia gives a lot of details about his life that says there may be something to it. At a minimum, this appears to be an unusually long-lived human being. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Li_Ching-Yuen When interviewed for the secret of long life, he said: “Keep a quiet heart, sit like a tortoise, walk sprightly like a pigeon and sleep like a dog.” — Li Ching-Yuen I especially like the advice to “Keep a quiet heart”. This rings true. It always helps me to calm down when some stressful event occurs. I think and repeat “Quiet Heart” a few times. Works for me.
I don't know about Li Ching Yuen, but I can remember a yogurt ad many years ago about yogurt-eating people well over a hundred years old and, as it turned out, they were in a part of the world that was using a different calendar. At least that's how I remember it.
John do you have any pets and if not what kind of pet do you like. Pets help me but then I used the excuse of needing a dog to bark and warn us. Only thing is these two tuck tails and run so far if they see the meter reader come upo, they are nowhere to be seen. I hear pets help to keep us young but so far?
Marie, good suggestion about getting a pet. I would love to have another dog like Rascal, but it would be unfair to the dog. My erratic life style (sleeping late and naps) won’t work for a dog. However, I’ve got the next best thing. My caregiver daughter lives with me and has two cats. They are nowhere near as outgoing as a dog, but at least they give me an excuse to talk to them when I am thinking out loud.
