How come Vindicator didn't get billing or even a pic on the poster?

One of the many Western-themed television series that filled the airwaves in the mid-20th century, Rawhide aired on CBS from 1959 to 1965.

    "I remember him as Cookie".

In MEMORY of ANDY DEVINE on his BIRTHDAY - Born Andrew Vabre Devine, an American character actor known for his distinctive raspy, crackly voice and roles in Western films, including his role as Cookie, the sidekick of Roy Rogers in 10 feature films. He also appeared alongside John Wayne in films such as Stagecoach (1939), The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, and How the West Was Won (both 1962). Oct 7, 1905 - Feb 18, 1977 (leukemia)

    Remember Andy, (1905 - 1977).
Born in Flagstaff, Arizona his family moved to Kingsman, Arizona when he was one year old. His father, having lost a leg as a railroad employee, had used the settlement money to purchase the Beale Hotel and he worked there as a child. A large active boy, he suffered numerous broken bones growing up.

According to the internet he was Jingles on the Wild Bill Hickok show I couldn't remember his name so I looked it up, cookie was his name as Roy Rogers sidekick. He was also the host of Andy's gang, which I watched as a kid also.
PS I don't remember him with Roy Rogers, on the TV show I thought it was Fuzzy McKnight the dog was bullet and the Jeep was I can't remember, I think NellyBell?

Yeah, I remembered him as Cookie on Roy Rodgers real well, the first place I saw him acting. And of course, I remember the dog bullet. :)

Andy Devine did play Roy Rogers sidekick in the movies along with five or six other actors.
On TV his sidekick was Pat Brady and the Jeep name was Nellebelle.

I didn't know or remember the jeep or about Nellebelle, do remember something about Andy being Jingles though. As you know it's hard to remember after all those years, for me too. :)

We only had two channels, and when the tv didn't have verticle lines going on, or unable to set the antenna outside well enough, listening to my brother saying wait go back, the other way, no the other way, woe, wait right there. I may have missed a lot of them.
