It’s not lunch time for an hour and half yet ..it’s only 11 am daylight saving time …..it was only 10 am this time yesterday
I had some instant rice and Okra and tomato and corn. Forgot to buy a couple small cans of that spicy soup add-on. It has been several years since I bought any with me not cooking any longer. I won't forget it because that was the only thing my rice and veggies needed. A good change for me, I enjoyed it very much, now if I could just remember to buy butter next trip.
I had a couple of gas station chili dogs with mustard, onions, nacho cheese and sauerkraut. Doritos on the side.
Today I had smoked sausage with Lima Beans, I ran out of rice and that was a bummer when I started fixing my meal. I will shop tomorrow and get more rice, my rice cooker conked out two years ago and I haven't replaced it but this instant rice prepared in the microwave is just fine, and I don't waste any.
A rotisserie chicken sandwich with chips and tea tasty.. I know this is a repeat from few days ago... but it is soo good
You know you're in a small local restaurant when the sign has 3 flavors of wings as Today's Special (Plain, BBQ, Buffalo), you order Buffalo, and they put a plate of Plain wings in front of you saying "I'll knock off a couple of bucks...we can't find the Buffalo sauce." Lunch was still tasty. I got some BBQ sauce on the side. It beats perfection in the city.
I went grocery shopping in Charlottesville today and swung by a local diner (one of those places that serve a wide variety of foods.) I had a gyro, onion rings and a Greek salad with lots of cubed Feta cheese. *burp* The place is always busy, but they manage to churn people through pretty quickly. I've only made the effort a couple of times...after the noon lunch rush early in the week. My neighbors took me there for breakfast last Friday at 10AM and we had to wait to get a table.
I had a healthy McDonald's double meat with cheese and bacon, french fries, and coffee. I feel better already.
For some reason, I got a hankering for Pizza Hut pizza. So I got a Super Supreme thin crust. Since I've shifted my larger meals to midday and eat lightly at night (and stopped eating cookies), I continue to shed pounds.
