58°F and sunny; just a beautiful day. Tonight is our last freezing temp for a while; supposed to be 32°. We'll move the plants out of the garage tomorrow or Wednesday.

Yesterday I noticed a plume of water coming from the swimming pool pump on the house behind us. That house is owned by an older couple who moved into assisted living last year so the house has been empty for a while. They pay a pool service and a yard crew to maintain the outside, but I guess they forgot that some precautions were needed during the 15 degree nights we had. Now their pool is too low and the pump is sucking air at the returns. None of the neighbors know what to do about it since we don't have access to the property.

I just asked my google home what’s the Temperature where I live she said “ Good afternoon” it’s 38c at 2 pm.

    that’s 100.4 f
We have the ceiling fan going on slow …and the air con on and it’s quite cool inside our home
We only have ducted evaporative cooling which is great for dry areas of Aust, but they are useless in humid parts of Aust

Oh, I think so here anyway. January and February are traditionally our coldest months. We will have winter in some form until April...then mud and perhaps flood.

Our coldest "spells" are usually in February, too. I hope it will be mild this year.

Sun is shining this morning, supposed to get up to 70F this afternoon. Warming trend will continue for the next week or so. A few days ago I brought all the patio plants inside. I moved them all back outside today. One of my SO's orchids has 2 new blooms on it.

Sunny and gorgeous; high 76°F. We dragged all of our patio plants out of the garage yesterday though we lost a lot of landscaping to the freeze. I want to pave the yard.

If my yard was smaller it would be paved. My only yard tool would be a garden hose with a high-pressure nozzle. My winter purple cabbage in planters is still looking great. After single-digit days, it is now up in the 50s but soon to drop to the high 30s.
