Everyone needs a front porch. It’s a good place to fix small engines, sand and paint stuff, listen to some jazz or watch a program or play memory games on the Ipad without disturbing one’s other half and yes, enjoy a bowl of custard cavendish or a smoke and wave at the mail lady, UPS drivers and cops as they go by.
Places a Walmart order and an Amazon order, both for coffees and a buncha supplements to replenish my inventory...it all hits reorder points at the same time.
Went on EBay last night and purchased a replacement 1 gallon vacuum canister. I prep a week's worth of salad fixins at a time...the lettuces and radicchio go in this vacuum canister and they stay fresh. The only thing wrong with the one I have is the gasket in the lid is split, so the air leaks in. I've limped along for a while squeezing it back together, but for some reason that's stopped working. I could cut a replacement gasket, but I have no idea what material might work AND be food safe. These are the old style original "Tilia" canisters that are no longer made. I finally broke down and bought this one, since I use it every day. This stuff is EXPENSIVE on EBay.
I like Lenovo laptops. I started using them in 2005 at a job that had an Employee purchase program. They seem to have the least amount of proprietary software/drivers on them.
I've never had a Lenovo. I've used Macs since 2008, and am currently using a MacBook Pro and a Mac Mini. But I need a second laptop for a SMART Recovery program that I facilitate because I use one computer for presentation stuff, and need another in order to accommodate those who are attending via Zoom. I didn't want to spend the money necessary for another MacBook, and I knew I didn't want an HP.
Since I got the Aerogarden, I've been watching videos about hydroponics and looking for some easy ways to try it. I found this "kit" that has an adapter lid for the Aerogarden pods; it includes black drawstring sleeves for the jars to keep light out. I also bought a set of Aerogarden cherry tomato seed pods to try. If I have success with this I'll try other seeds.
What a great idea ( the jar covers ) @Beth Gallagher I might look on Amazon Aust to see if they have them available for Aussies I purchased this yesterday cause I’ve got a nice comfy soft dressing gown that got all pimples inside the lower sleeves …… I shouldn’t complain but I like a DG with a zip and they are hard to find …..This one I’ve replaced the zip once and it’s about 30 years old
I thought the jar covers were a good idea, too. Now I'm looking for a grow lamp to use with the Kratky setup. I'm thinking a floor lamp or a tall gooseneck desk lamp to use for the mason jars. I don't want anything that has to be mounted on the wall or ceiling.
I looked but in Amazon but didn’t see the sleeves for the jars but they have stacks of other stuff ..it came in my search that ETSY had the covers so I will look on there latter @Beth Gallagher
I saw one woman simply wrapped her jars in construction paper, Kate. She made a "sleeve" so she could slide it off to look at the water level.
I recently bought a fold down guest bed and a pack of 4 pillows, always handy to have for overnight guests. I'll be doing more online shopping now that it's the January Sales!! (・∀・)
