In high school, my French teacher used to say she had difficulty with Canadian French accent. I think it sounds sort of romantic. But I don't remember much French anymore.
I can speak meter but I can't speak Kilos or celsius fluently, yet. Thanks for you translations.;)

Does a tortiere have meat in it? American "mincemeat" doesn't have any meat. I know that the British refer to ground beef as "mince," though.

Thanks, Steve. I found that American "mincemeat" used to have meat in it but not anymore. I think your tortiere sounds better!!

We were in Sudbury yesterday for a medical appointment and we went to Walmart where i bought a BBQ chicken..
We had some last night and there is plenty left over for another 2 meals each..
I also bought a Caesar salad kit which we enjoyed with the chicken..
No dessert as we were too full..
Pot of tea was truly appreciated..

Well, we finally finished that dead bird I bought a few days ago.. That BBQ chicken lasted for 3 meals for us..
    Talk about good value..
Steamed and smashed butternut squash and I added some green peas to it to make it look good and served with butter..
    Frozen blueberries with heavy cream
    Pot of tea..

supper was my minced chicken burgers frozen on the BBQ.. I cook them from frozen..
I bought minced chicken when it was on special and made lots of burgers that I froze..
I very rarely serve burgers with buns.. Always just the burger....... They are not small..
Steamed cauliflower florets, fried caramelized onions to go with the burgers, baked russet potato..
No dessert as we were full from that meal..
    Pot of tea was welcomed...
