Bought some more Jarrow XOS/GOS prebiotic, since 1 bottle is only a 30 day supply and I like to be stocked up. Also bought a bottle of NOW FOS powder to round out my intake of prebiotics. Bought a tea mug/infuser that Yvonne likes so much: Bought a coffee mug warmer plate: Walmart sells an interesting mug warmer where the included mug contains the heating element. The mug also contains a rechargeable battery...it keeps your drink warm for 3 hours as you carry it from place-to-place and set it down wherever you wish. Or you can leave the mug on the recharging coaster for continuous heating. Some folks complained that the coating comes off of the inside of the mug, and since the mug itself is the heating unit (and the thing costs nearly $40), I went with the lo-tech use-my-own-mug option.
I ordered a Made in the USA handbag from "Go Forth Goods" website. The bags are handmade in Marietta GA and can be customized pretty much anyway a person wants (as long as they don't mind paying for the customization.) Now I have to wait 2-3 weeks.
My last wallet was given to me about 5 years ago by my sister in law, it replaced my 20 year old wallet. The trick in getting longevity in handbags and wallets is to not overload them with cash.
Earth's Origin sandals. I bought a pair years ago in brown. They have 3-way adjustable straps, so it's hard not to get them to fit. Now they have a Narrow width, but only available in this color. I believe the original company sold out. It's a gamble I'm willing to take.
I don't know if they were made by the same company, but I had a pair that looked an awful lot like that, and they got a lot of use over a few years before one of the straps finally wore out.
Amazon is going to discontinue AmazonSmile program on Feb 20th. Something about they have done it for 10 years, and now Amazon is going to pick the charities to which they want to donate to. I have used amazon smile to donate to my local animal shelter all these years, as did a lot of other people. So this is sad news for local charities.
I got an email notice about that, too. While it looks like they have quite a few other ideas they are going to pursue , I liked the idea of using the Amazon Smiles, and wish they could continue it along with the other things they are doing.
I got the email, too. I don't like that we no longer get to designate a charity. I had only recently found that I could direct contributions to the IBC Network Foundation.
Might be my fault. I directed mine to a Milwaukee gifted and talented program and to a 2nd amendment organization.
