People hope for peace. But what is it? Everyone happy all the time and getting along most of the time? Or no more wars? More time to think? Time to produce? Time to waste?
Peace comes with a price. Sometimes peace leads to division. Look what the socialist peacenik's did to this nation. "You're ok ,I'm ok" attitude led to America losing its moral standards and culture.
In Jesus , as Jesus Says, forever, is peace. Come to Me all you who are worn out on religion, fed up and devastated by society and its evils, and I Will Give You Peace Comfort, Nurturing, Rest for your souls... now, today, and forever.
I suppose I consider peace as a lack of conflict; living in a tranquil environment. (It was also a hippie greeting. )
There is no way humans can have the freedom to be themselves and there be no conflict between them. The questions becomes how well differences are tolerated, and how are differences resolved? As I tell people, if you don't like conflict, then never disagree with me and do what I say all the time. Otherwise, you are creating conflict.
