Good Morning all, On Easter Sunday...2016, and what a glorious sunny morning we have, blue , blue skies too....our weather pattern is nuts lately here in the south, one day gloriously hot and sunny, the next day freezing, storms , and torrential rain..that's usually the privilege of Scotland and Ireland .. Have a fab Palm Sunday, whatever you're doing
Good to hear it works ......yes they are cute have used them for some years now, handy for all sorts of occasions.
Good morning and Happy Easter. I know many of you will be off to church soon. Those of you that are still hiding Easter eggs I hope you have as much fun as the munchkins will finding them. I hope everyone has a great day!
Cold and damp today, but at least no power cuts (looks for wood to touch, reaches for head) like we had yesterday. What we're really looking forward to is daylight continuing to around eight o'clock this evening. It makes you feel like summer can't be too distant. Something else that engendered that feeling was the appearance of wild garlic in the local fruit and veg shop yesterday. I can't recall seeing any this early in the year. I can't get enough wild garlic.
Good morning everyone. Happy Easter morning. I seem to be the designated Pie-Baker for all the holiday family dinners so today is Coconut Cream Pie and Key Lime Pie. I'm also making a big colorful salad of spring greens, radicchio, romaine, fresh carrot shavings, thin slivers of purple cabbage, heirloom tomatoes, slightly cooked garlic-bright-green beans cut bite sized, and my homemade dressing. I also picked up rolls and now for the little surprise (I always like to add a surprise). For an appetizer, not traditional easter fare, I bought some "sushi" that doesn't have seafood in them but carrots, celery, avocado, bright green lettuce leaf (like a CA roll)…and then rolled in black rice and sesame seeds. No seaweed. Have you ever seen black rice? Well I know black doesn't seem Eastery but it really makes the orange and green fillings pop! I helped Mother yesterday with the table set up and her prep for Easter Meatloaf/RoastedVeggies . Made lunch for her, cut her hair, rubbed her back, potted flowers, did the crossword puzzle with her….she's all set
That reminds me of when I kept goats and they strayed into a field of wild garlic, resulting in garlic milk for a couple of days, which is pretty yucky
I would love to come, and I could, but it'll only ever be the one time, and I just don't know which part of the USA to visit...I want to make sure I get the best experience I can have to remember for the rest of my days..... I want somewhere beautifully picturesque, with great scenery, lots of history ....lots of beautiful oceans and mountains too...and with the most friendly people in the whole of the USA,.....oooh and not expensive either...anyone know where that place might be? No cities, no Disneyland, no Miami, no windy Cities, No Las Vegas.....no tornadoes, no earthquake areas, no flood plains ...but also nice and hot, during the day, and in a safe area... In that huge country I'm sure there must be somewhere ..
