You betcha I use senior discounts! I earned them with every grey hair.......

 

Nobody around here offers senior discounts or even a low-cost senior meal anymore. They say they can't afford to and stay in business. I fully understand. Meanwhile, wealthy politicians are getting richer and pushing us old folks toward poverty with rising living prices and increasing our medical costs every year. They hope we all drop dead tomorrow.

That is what it is called by name' insurance'. We paid into that for over half a century before we qualify for it. I don't know about yall but I went to work at a very young age at a Five and Dime store at 13, we just falsified our age on paper birth certificate. Everyone knew but liked the cheap labor.
I'm sure boys started even earlier.

 

Marie..I just got a serve as juror notice...next week...I'm so upset ...get their peers...criminals to decide...i...as an old lady...senior citizen...don't need to be going to the courthouse...parking...who knows how far...all day long..hard chairs...courthouse is where the criminals are...with their cohorts...geez...

 

and..all day waste...gas...10 miles each way...this is abuse of senior citizen...so mad!

 

I think that is ridiculous. Tell them your not able. Hope you can get out of it. Ask them how are supposed to concentrate on trial proceedings in pain.

 

paper says...Dr letter required to get out..i ain't got Dr...anyway...i will let them know ...very pleasantly...i m not a good candidate for juror..
sitting in a closed up room....no six feet....i just say for criminals...six feet under.....pray for me to be excused or exorcised...ha!...they can keep their viruses and their masks

 

Sorry you have to deal with this at our age they should not need a Dr. letter. They are really after the young and old now. Where's all the young execs?

 

I hate jury duty!!! When called, we have to be available for a freaking month.

 

Maybe they will spray the joint down with Covid on your arrival. They tell seniors to stay home and not be exposed to the virus then demand we get exposed to the virus.

 

I'm so upset...don't even know where I'm typing this..anyway...i just needed to vent....so freaking mad

 

A month is a long time and it could even be dragged out longer, So I'd do some doctor visiting or something. Good luck and again I sorry your going thru this Teresa.

 

Marie..I wanted to come back to say thank you for your help...and listening...I decided to call circuit clerk and talk to them about my apprehension...leaving my 70 year old husband alone..they don't allow cell phones...anyway...not scheduled...not having to go!..time now to get that letter from Dr and be removed from the list entirely....thank you again
