It's working great, Leigh. I can't tell much difference in the knock-off and the Aerogarden. I think starting out with a cheaper model is a good idea, then a person will know if they are really interested in the hydroponics stuff.
Thanks, Beth! Think I'll order one and give it a go. Doing pretty good with house plants from Lowe's...I was thinking about trying cherry tomatoes with the Aerogarden.
Ordered a few more of the teeccino herbal "coffees" from Amazon. Then I went on the teeccino website and found some flavors that were cheaper than Amazon. They have a President's Day free shipping sale and I got 10% my first order, so I ordered some different flavors from them that are not sold on Amazon. They make a nice evening drink that helps me cut back on my after-dinner sweets and caffeine. Since they are chicory based, I cut them 50/50 with less expensive chicory coffee for a milder flavor and to stretch them. I tried a sampler pak, and have yet to find a flavor I do not like.
I check the amazon Warehouse for stuff that i am interested in , to see what items they have on sale. I found a set of little doggie pajamas/clothes on sale and ordered them for Poodle. They fit great, come in several different colors, and Poodle loves wearing them. The Warehouse is a great way to get some excellent deals on amazon items and save money ! (The picture shows the regular price, not the discount one from the warehouse sale)
Bought some stuff for my car, now that it's out of warranty: -Replacement for the factory air filter system. Boosts HP a bit and lets you hear the turbo noise a lot. Besides, a quality air filter replacement costs over $40, and this is washable. -After Market factory turbo hose. This one gives better responsiveness. I also bought a heat shield for it. -Tires. I'm due for inspection this month and my factory tires are not gonna make it another year. I tried to "buy local," but I'm not gonna sacrifice several hundred dollars to do it. $50 was my moral threshold. $300 made it a no-brainer. I've really been wanting to upgrade the tires on this car. Factory Yokohamas are "sufficient," but these Michelins have great handling reviews on the Mazda owner's forum...and I got me some winding back country roads. And they're warrantied for 15,000 more miles than I got out of the Yokohamas.
