Just finished planting a pot ofAnemone and a pot of Parsley. Not a lot of room in the mobile home for New plantings, there is one window in the second bedroom that we put a card table in front of to try and salvage the indoor plants after the fire. Fortunately it's a south facing window the indoor plants look like they're coming around which is making my wife happy she used to baby these plants. There was some space on this table so I put three pots the two I just planted plus I had a basil plant on it.
Looking forward to cleaning up the yard from debris from the fire and arranging and setting up my container garden.

    Teresa,
    Thank you.
I try, there was a quote I remember reading as a kid I don't remember who said it I thought it might have been Admiral Byrd but I use it when I can "if I can't find a way I'll make one" and of course a more popular one " never give up"
Anyway I appreciate your comment you're very kind.

Well, who would have seen this coming? I got up earlier than usual (for me) and noticed how shaded the galvanized raised beds are. So we spread a tarp on the lawn and shoveled them out, then dragged the whole mess across the yard and re-installed close to the large round planter. (Wheelbarrow has a flat tire so necessity is the mother of invention.) I'm exhausted but it really wasn't as hard as I expected.

I have the tomato plants sitting out there and will plant them tomorrow. I might plant the cucumber plants this afternoon and clean out the Aerogarden, but right now I'm sitting with my feet up.

We need a new wheelbarrow now. We planted the vegetable raised bed already and today bought several flower seeds.

    Good morning to all-
Well, it looks like spring is going to be very, very short here on the Gulf Coast. spring crops are still doing well, but we have had two weeks of 80 degree weather, and things are really starting to move along.
For instance, I checked this morning, and the beans I planted and watered in three days ago are up. At this rate, we'll be eating fresh green beans in a month or so- and I brocc.JPG will be very happy if we do.

you all be safe and keep well- Ed

Looks great, and I agree spring has came very early this year.
According to record keepers this is the hottest February for Florida on record.

Yikes! My cranberry seeds are starting already. they usually take weeks! I set them above the dishwasher and that must have worked as a heat pad.:( I guess all I can do is sprinkle some more soil over them and put them under more light because a couple of them are way too spindly.
Last year, the chipmunks dug the plants all up. I don't know why. Maybe the soft dirt made them think I buried nuts?

I planted two short rows of radish seeds on Sunday and they have germinated! I just love seeing the little seeds sprout. I think I'll plant another row in a week or so to stagger the "harvest."

Be a busy day tomorrow but I plan on planting my flowers next couple days. Haven't planted flowers in a while now, so it is past time.

I think my wife planted radishes in the greenhouse yesterday, but there was only 1/2 inch of thawed soil, so it might be a while:)

Plenty of late winter, early spring blossoms around here. These are mixed Hellebores and King Alfred Daffodils, two things the too plentiful deer don’t touch.

I am trying to figure out where to put a small garden this year. I really miss having one but the wild life in my yard and neighborhood seems to get worse every year. I would almost have to enclose a garden to keep the critters out. The last garden I had, the raccoons, ground hogs, squirrels, and deer ate their way through my garden, leaving very little. Then there are the birds, they had their way with my tomatoes, pecking holes in all my varieties of tomatoes. I don’t seem to have any problem with them in my little herb garden. They are probably full by the time they come across my herbs.

I can look outside my patio door and see at least 4 deer drinking from my bird bath on some mornings. I have also had some deer sleeping under one of my trees in the snow in winter months. There are always foxes running around the neighborhood, and some come with babies, which are so cute. And a few times I had a momma skunk take residence under one of my neighbors small out building. Momma came out from under the shed one day with 5 little stinkers following her, cute as could be, but I don’t want them living here.:(:D
