I had a nut butter and blackberry jam sandwich on flatbread. We get this delicious mixed nut butter at Costco ( https://www.amazon.com/Kirkland-Signature-Mixed-Nut-Butter/dp/B07Q2HHLVN ) and we have the McCutcheon's Factory Store right here in town for the best jams and jellies. I have been eating the Apple Butter for decades. Discovered it at someone’s house in Pa and was delighted to find out it was made local to us. …and a cup of coffee of course
No fun looking at your delicious meals since I'm on a restricted diet for diabetes. Now and then I take a look and y'all are a lot of great cooks.
I gotta pick up a script today. The mobile BBQ guy (Rod) sets up shop on Thursday, Friday and Saturday right up the road from Walmart. (His fiance sets it up on Sunday at a different location.) The only question is "Pork or chicken?" I always get collards...he puts pork scraps and hot sauce in them. Dunno what I'm getting for the other side.
Went to Arby's and tried their fish sandwich. It was pretty good. The fish fillet was large. The only downside was that they put sauce and lettuce on the top and the bottom of the bun, and the fish was crispy with no give, so whenever you bit into it, the fish kept sliding out. But it was very tasty, and well worth the $5...and their fries are cheaper than McDonald's. While I was waiting for my food, I had a conversation with the other guy in line and the order taker about how much we miss Bob Barker, but Drew Carey's not only doing a fine job, he also lost a lot of weight...and it's still important to spay & neuter.
Was out running errands and went to Sheetz (large chain of convenience stores/gas stations) and got a couple of hot dogs. If you have a discount card, they're real cheap. This is only the second time I've tried these, and I repeated the mistake of getting them loaded (mustard, onion, chili, cheese, sauerkraut.) I always like my hot dogs this way, but Sheetz's "chili" is horrid. Anyway, I ate both of them.
