Somebody didn’t have a pot to pee in nor a window to throw it out of so they bought the pot and tried to make a window by using the pot as a hammer.
A charity shop @Von Jones ..Aussies call them a op shop ….short for opportunity shop as they used to known as
@Kate Ellery - wow oh wow. I would be livid. I have never had these problems with Amazon or vendors but it does seem to be happening more.
I ordered some coffee kcups, t-shirts for the hubby,a tub of bubble gum, and a container of chocolate-covered almonds from Costco. Also ordered some dishtowels from Amazon and throw rugs from Kohl's.
I’ve bought allot of items from Amazon and never had an issue before ( apart from this and the mini iron I bought recently ) @Hedi Mitchell you know what …they are blaming staff shortages for returns not being checked . but why would someone use an item then send it back. This is the second item that I’ve received that wasn’t wrapped or had any protective padding Last summer I bought a pair of sandals direct from a well known company ( Not Amazon ) and I received secondhand shoes the shoes were $200 , they were very embarrassed by the mess up ….and set up a internal inquiry as to how and why second hand shoes managed to get put back on a self for for resale
I personally have known of people who will buy clothing for an event wear it and then send it back, Notice the Have Known. Uncouth to say the least.
I've been reading Amazon reviews for years of people receiving obviously used stuff that was restocked and sold as new. I gotta throw the BS Flag on Amazon's excuse du jour.
I'd venture to say that all retailers resell returned merchandise that is in like-new condition. Why wouldn't they? The problem is that sometimes an item that is obviously used and not "like new" gets sent out to a customer. This has happened to me several times, and not just from Amazon.
Then the items should be advertised “as new” maybe they should put stickers on items if they have been previously sold and been returned and throughly checked before sending to the next customer in line @Beth Gallagher
Target used to have issues with people going into stores buying something to wear out then return it after the event ( I knew someone who worked in target ) I’m sure they have put rules in place now to stop that happening now days
I recently celebrated an 85th birthday for a friend. She wanted a Lemon Meringue pie instead of a cake. I looked for one at several places but couldn't find one. Then I checked Walmart's online ordering & was surprised to find that they could deliver a Marie Callender's pie that same evening or I could pick it up from Walmart. I picked it up from a Walmart 6 miles away. The instructions on the box said "Thaw in refrigerator overnight." At the party, I couldn't believe how good it was. Since I'm diabetic, I only planned on having ONE bite. Yeah.......right. After one bite, I ate a whole slice. And it was worth the 58 gms sugar and the extra insulin. And I dreamed about that pie the next two nights.
As long as you enjoyed it @Tony Nathanson Our neighbour has diabetes and he’s on that injection to control his sugar levels simply because he eats way too many carbs ..but now he’s sick in the gut all the time from the jab …( side effect ) and lost allot of weight cause he hardly eats anything
Makes one wonder how do those Asians live such healthy lives. The eat mostly from the sea and vegetables. I haven't actually cooked in probably at least 7 years and when I was cooking I was wasting a lot of food. That was with an exception from using a crock pot. I never replaced the one I was using but lately I have really been thinking about a good stew or my usual weekend beans rice and some fine sausages. Just the smell of those sausages put me on a cloud. I have a very narrow menu using a microwave. Today even the cheapest of foods are way over priced for what they are and the quality. My cats were balking at eating any canned food I bought for them so I thought, well I will buy a nice big can of that chicken in the can. They pretty much turned their noses up at that chicken. I couldn't believe it. I once heard someone say if a dog won't eat something a human better not eat it. I wonder now about the cats. I haven't given them any sardines for while since they started putting those little minnows in the can and calling them sardines, really it's just insulting to get taken from some of these large food providers. Talking about that lemon meringue pie made me perk up, I love that and my favorite is pineapple upside down cake with a nice helping of cherries all around the top. Lately all I have been buying from the store is a strawberry roll with whipping cream. So much sugar it makes a person stagger. It sure is good with coffee. I feel pretty safe because I just had blood work and all was normal so I am still able to enjoy all those things some people can't have.
