We're on the same wavelength but slightly out of step. I missed lunch yesterday so had an early dinner, and I grabbed a hot dog for lunch today.
The Food Lion grocery stores around here make a pretty good chicken salad sandwich from their rotisserie chickens, So I picked one up while I was out & about. Cost less than $5 and I'll get 2 lunches out of it.
*can't beat that price for the chicken salad sandwich, and for getting two lunches out of it... Also those rotisserie chickens are so good also, I get one a month over here at our Haggen store, just a bit pricy, but on Weds they sell at a lower price, that suits me..
Rotisserie chickens are the best invention since drive-thrus. You can make so many different dishes with them, my favorite being quesadillas.
Had my weekly Chinese Buffet today. Also filled up with my first tank ever of COSTO gas while I was in town.
John, they are the best, I agree, along with a few other things, but Rotisserie chickens are top of the list too. Hey do you use corn or flour tortillas? I use flour mostly and like my quesadillas hot and crunchy, gosh I love them!
Chinese buffets are so good I though have not been to one for about a year. Have to drive over to the next town and enjoy it again sometime soon I think. COSTCO gas, what was the price?
Gas was $3.20/gallon for regular. That's roughly 25ยข cheaper than in my area. It's not worth a dedicated trip, but when I'm in the area shopping, I'll go a couple of miles out of my way for it, depending on what mileage I may get.
Is 11:00 am breakfast? One-third of a Tombstone frozen pizza and a candied sweet potato from scratch.
