When we lived in Jacksonville, FL and was planning on a short vacation to Disney World's Star Wars first Attraction area, we were planning it for in June. While at a local Walmart, and talking to an older lady about our vacation plans, she told us, "don't go in June unless you support the GLBTQ Community during Pride Month" (of which we don't). We rescheduled our visit for July and had a great time at the Star Wars Attraction.

    Alternative thinking:
    June 6, 1944.
D day or rather, the invasion of Normandy by the allied forces. Between 9K to 13,000 allied soldiers lost their lives that day.

Note: In 1944, being gay was the same as being happy. I doubt seriously if there were any gay men on the Normandy beaches on that day in June.

    Truer words were never spoken.
I well remember the time when all they wanted was to live in peace.

In San Diego, in a gay pride parade, some participants wore 'costumes" that would have gotten other folks arrested on the beach. ie; topless "dykes on bikes"

One law for all. No exceptions.

I don't understand the concept of "pride" in this context, or most of the other contexts in which it's used these days. If, as they would have us believe, they are born with the predisposition to be gay, or another gender, or whatever, what is there in that to be proud of? You might argue that they shouldn't be ashamed of what they are, but why would anyone be proud of something that wasn't their own accomplishment?

Should I be proud that I have five fingers on each hand, or of my skin tone, the color of my hair, or that I have two legs and feet? When I was nine months old (or whatever), I might have felt proud that I had learned to walk. I may have felt pride whenever it was that I learned to swim, if I earned good grades, or got a promotion - these are things to be proud of.

Why would someone feel pride in wanting to have sex with someone of the same gender, or that they feel like they're a girl when they're not? Now, if these things are choices that they have made, perhaps you could argue that they are proud of the choices they've made, but, they are, simultaneously, telling us that they were born this way. That doesn't make sense.

I don't care whether or not someone is gay, what clothing they wear, or whether or not they wear makeup. If it's too outrageous, I might laugh, but I don't feel the need to police any of this stuff. I'm not going to do the pronoun thing because that's just plain silly, but a person can refer to itself by whatever pronouns it wants, for all I care. I might not know what the heck they're talking about, but I don't need to understand everything. But why would someone be proud of something that wasn't an accomplishment?

Perhaps gay men are proud of the fact that HIV is much more prevalent among gays than straights.
Perhaps daring to have anal sex, where the walls are MUCH thinner and more apt to tear than vaginal walls are hence a higher probability of catching or transmitting HIV is something to be proud of.

I think the gay/homosexual community is becoming more and more opposed to including the transexuals into the "Pride" movement, especially those who just "decide to be another gender". There are some rumors afoot that Italy has cancelled Pride Month and has declared it a "Family Pride Month" emphasizing pride in a normal family with two parents and children. This certainly appears to be true in Rome, as Romans seem to be weary of having this nonsense foisted upon them.

As they did with "racism," they've overplayed their hand, I think, and most people are just fed up with all of it. The words don't mean anything anymore, and it's hard to get excited over something that can't be reasonably defined.

The teacher (or other school employee) who filmed that little girl being forced to engage in a sex act was not arrested and put in jail, she is on paid leave "pending an investigation." How does THAT happen????? Hell, I recall an early case of contrived child pornography charges against a woman who was a professional photographer who took bathtub pics of her little girl as she grew up. But a government worker can not only be in possession of such a thing, they can actually be the recording party and in loco parentis, and they are on paid leave????

Imagine you were babysitting and this happened to one of the children in your care. Would you be put on paid leave or in a cell?

How in the world can something like that happen ? I thought that anyone who was in possession of child pornography could be/ would be promptly arrested?

Prior to 1962, sodomy was a felony in every U.S. state. The 1st 2 states to overturn sodomy laws were Illinois and Kentucky. Many states still have some sodomy laws on the books , BUT they have been overturned by SCOTUS.
Of note: those laws also applied to male-female sexual relations that did not have the purpose of procreation ie oral sex and/or anal sex.

And the administration tried to cover it up, just like the 2 "transgender" rapes that occurred in Loudoun county, the second one at the school the transferred the rapist to, and the incidents that got the father of one little girl labeled a "terrorist" by the Federal government.

And I wonder if the FBI went in and confiscated all of the teacher's personal computers.

Porn is provided to elementary school students by progressive school systems now. It may not be a brave new world, but I suppose it can be said that a certain amount of bravery might be required to live in it.

I would imagine so. That is usually one of the first things they go for. I've seen numerous tv news clips with FBI carrying out computer stuff.
