I don't think that Kennedy can win the nomination but he has surprised everyone by quickly getting more support than expected.

If he doesn't get the Democrat nomination I hope he runs as a third party candidate and splits their vote.

We're all very familiar with the pain the nation lives through when a democrat holds the office. I prefer to have enough money to survive every 4 years, so far this slug in our white house has not lived up to his oath. He has done very well helping everyone but an American. I fully expected to hear what you said because all Democrats are the same. You don't care how much America suffers because for a brief time you lost the power. Everyone did well while Trump was in office. I know it hurts but bite a stick or something and take the pain. Trump for the win again :D

So, it’s okay for a President to be a sexual cheat or deviant in action but in secret but not okay for a President to say something sexually explicit in the open but not do the action.
    Got it…..

All that said, to my knowledge, Kennedy has yet to cross any of those firing lines and I hope I’m right but once they start digging I’m sure they’ll find out that he did something in college or said something to someone who thinks they can make a buck out of it.
And…whether he did anything or not, it doesn’t make any difference. If Kennedy gets far enough up in the polls….somebody will make something up.

I would rather that none of our prospective leaders had even a thought of sexual impropriety but that’s just not the way human kind works.
If we’re looking for a monk, then let a monk put his name on a ballet and we’ll see.
Even as a Christian man, if there’s someone who can lead this nation out of the idiotic chaos it is in, I don’t care if every other word is one or more of those 7 words George Carlin so aptly described.

And I would like to see you get your chance at 4 fours with that sucker again, too. I only hope you remember why you wanted him back.

    -----------------------------------------------
Well, Frump said he could do anything he wanted, and never be held responsible. It's the rest of the nation to be concerned about when and if the fool gets in. And we will pay for a national deficit all over again.

My children and grandchildren will be the ones to suffer this the most.

    https://www.propublica.org/article/national-debt-trump

The national debt has risen by almost $7.8 trillion during Trump’s time in office.
The growth in the annual deficit under Trump ranks as the third-biggest increase, relative to the size of the economy, of any U.S. presidential administration
, according to a calculation by a leading Washington budget maven, Eugene Steuerle, co-founder of the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center. And unlike George W. Bush and Abraham Lincoln, who oversaw the larger relative increases in deficits, Trump did not launch two foreign conflicts or have to pay for a civil war.

He’s an ass, just like everyone else in politics. However, he did a lot of good. This is just from his first 3 years. What’s not to like? See link…

And Hillary, Pelosi, Schumer, Biden, Bernie, Obama and a dozen other Dems I can bring up that get away with anything they want but just do not tell folks they can and have.
The Russia hoax alone plus a couple of attempted impeachments that cost us several hundred million beans should bring a few of ‘em up for indictments but nope, they’ll probably get away with it.

Personally, whether or not I like someone, if a person is clear and up front with me, I like them more than the back room connivers who do indeed get away with anything they wish.

Now, as chance would have it, thus far it would seem that Kennedy is pretty much up front about how he feels about things.
I like that kind of metal in a man especially when it’s apparent that he has the important facts straight.
That doesn’t mean that I’d vote for him to hold the catbird seat, but I do like him.

I think that Trump will be the nominee, and all these other people are running for the VP slot.

It was interesting that Trump didn't attack Scott and instead complimented him. Maybe he will be the VP candidate.

we have a Biden thread, a Trump thread, and I think we have a DeSantis thread, and somewhere I know that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has been discussed, but the only thread I am finding for him hasn't been posted to in a while.

Nevertheless, we could use one to discuss the upcoming presidential election. If you've got something to say about Biden, Trump, or DeSantis, continue to use these threads, but we can use this one to discuss stuff related to the upcoming election, such as their election chances and so on. Other topics related to the election can go here, as well.

As I see it, there are some indications that the Democrats might dump Biden between now and the election, since I don't see any other reason why the mainstream liberal media would occasionally say something not entirely complimentary about him. That's not like them to report anything that could put Biden in a bad light.

I don't know, though. It seems equally clear that very few people, in any political party, are looking forward to a Kamala Harris presidency, except perhaps for Joe, who often thinks she is the president.

If the Democrats decide to go with Joe Biden, it's likely that he will win in another stolen election. I would hope otherwise, but our elections are no more reliable than those conducted in the Soviet Union or Iraq, during the Saddam Hussein days. I wouldn't be entirely shocked if we were told that 100% of the voters voted for Biden, since they don't seem to even care if we all know the elections are rigged anymore.

If it were an honest election between Biden and Trump, then Trump would win hands down, but I doubt it will be an honest election.

However, if we were to pretend that elections still mean anything these days, I think that Robert F. Kennedy would have the best chance against Trump. Yes, there are Democrats who will not be able to forgive his outspoken views on Dr. Fauci's virus and the vaccinations. But, I think most Democrats would vote for the Democrat rather than Trump. Plus, a lot of registered Republicans are pretty much Democrats, and they would vote for Kennedy over Trump, and this would include some of those who were in Trump's cabinet, given that Trump isn't very good at picking the right people.

I would, of course, vote for Trump over Kennedy, but a Robert F. Kennedy administration might not be the end of the world. I wouldn't vote for him if he were the only one running because he's an eco-nut and pretty much of a liberal, albeit not the more dangerous type, such as whoever it is who's actually been in charge during the Biden presidency.

I don't expect it, but a Trump-Kennedy candidacy would be unstoppable.

There has been talk for a while about a Trump/Kennedy ticket. Kennedy at first said that he would not consider that; but since his own party is not doing much to actually support him, things could change down the road .
An interesting thing that I have been reading, is that even though they announced that Biden would not be doing any debates, they are now saying that democrats want Biden to debate Kennedy.
I am guessing that would be those democrats who are against the vaccine truths from Kennedy, and they believe that Biden will win the debates . I can’t see why else anyone would want Biden to try and make it through a debate, except people so far left that they think he is doing great.

I read that Kennedy is for climate change and all that goes with that, and if that is actually true, then this would also not work for him with Trump, who is against all of that nonsense. I have not heard anything suggesting who Trump might choose to run with him, so I think that this is still a possibility down the road.
When Bernie Sanders was ahead of Hillary in the primaries before, the democrats did everything they could to throw him under the bus; so it is quite possible that they will do the same with Kennedy.

I can't see Kennedy getting the Democrat nomination, but then I couldn't see Trump being allowed to get the nomination in 2016 either. I can't see that we will have an honest election, but it might be better than the 2020 thing since a number of states have put Honest Election statues in place. Also, the Republicans now know the tactics used and how far people go to get their way. The Democrats don't have a deep bench of candidates, while the Republicans have a number of viable candidates, some of which have not yet thrown their hat into the ring, while the Dems have only failed governors in the dugout.

I still believe that Trump is the man to do the job. He could do a better job from a jail cell than the Obama puppet, Biden. My biggest worry about that is if he doesn't quit, he won't live long enough to take office.
