I blew right past the part that he is a PA. I did not know they had the authority to issue or alter scripts, or to make referrals.

    From the AMA website:

    Prescriptive authority
    >PAs are authorized to prescribe Schedule II-V medication in most states (44)

    >PAs lack the authority to prescribe Schedule II medication in 6 states (AL, AR, GA, HI, IA, WV)

    >PAs lack the authority to prescribe legend drugs in 1 state (KY)

Requirements for collaborative or supervisory arrangement
    >In 47 states, PAs are supervised by physicians

    >In 2 states, PAs are subject to collaborative agreements with physicians (AK, IL)

    >2 states allow for an alternate arrangements: New Mexico calls for supervision for PAs with less than 3 years of clinical experience, and for specialty care PAs, and in Michigan, PAs work under a participating physician

    Regulation
    >In most states (43), PAs are regulated by the medical board. However, in 8 states (AZ, CA, IA, MA, MI, RI, TN, UT), PAs have a separate and independent regulatory board

    Scope of practice determination
    >In most states (47), PA scope of practice is determined with the supervising/collaborating physician at the practice site

Why is it that I nearly always get the vampire in training when I go to have a medical procedure done?
The main object of appreciation here is that I didn’t even know I was going to be hooked up with an IV for a treadmill stress test but yup, the wanna be sticker told me that I had to have one.

Sooooo, I relented and let her take a stab at it and stab at it she did, and grind, and pushed and pulled and poked around until she figured out that she missed the mark and had to take a mulligan.
Long story shortened, she switched arms and drove the derned Big Stick in like she was rehearsing for a part in a movie as a female victim driving home a stiletto into her attacker’s heart……and missed.
I swear, if handicaps were handed out for trainees, she would probably merit something around a hundred.

Alas and finally, in walked the seasoned oldster who took over and got it with one poke thereby changing my mind about getting up and walking out.

Now, after all the poking and prodding and drugs thrown into my system and being exhausted by the treadmill not to even mention that I was denied my morning intake of caffeine, I’m still going to confront my medical doctor and the cardiologist about how they approached the subject of taking a stress test as in, “oh, it’s just walking on a treadmill”.

Just a treadmill my rear end!!

This rant has both pros and cons. Poshmark sucks and I am done with them as soon as I receive my last order of vintage 1980s Levi mom jeans. I went to purchase a pair of cuffed short American Apparel jean shorts that were USA made in the early 90s and I was blocked and will be until I send them a photo of my drivers license, both front and the back with the numbers showing. At least when Facebook pulled this crap on me for no reason, they said I could block the numbers.

Their request to verify my ID had nothing to do with my participation. I violated no rules and all info I gave them was factual. I cleared every payment immediately on receiving the purchases. Their only response was they do this randomly to keep Poshmark safe. Safe from what, honest fast paying customers?

Con: I will have to start another account if I want to purchase from their site and lose all my followers and those I follow. Plus lose all the time I spent developing an amazing likes list that I watched for sales and special offers.

Pros: I will save $200 a month I spend on vintage USA made clothes, some I keep but many I give away or donate. I won't have to build a 5th closet. :)

That has major Identity Theft implications. No way does someone get a copy of my driver's license...especially sent via email.

Yeah that really takes the cake but some people out there think they can just demand anything they like, send a copy to the state AG and see what they say. I have never heard of any company asking for drivers license, it sounds very fishy to me.

I finally got a message back from the DMV after over a week gone by. Now what if I had been stopped and my vehicle had been impounded ? I would be one mad old guy because I know they have every police agency in the USA pimping for the insurance companies. I suspect something was done by my local state representative because I wrote him a letter asking the same question, they all know the DMV in LA is completely dysfunctional. It is Geico's bungling but the DMV has no communication with a driver to take care of these problems that occur thru no fault of theirs. They refuse to allow local DMV offices to take care of such simple problems due to under staffing and money issues. They illegally took money from the DMV to pay for the State Troopers pay raises and the employees are using these knuckle dragging tactics to cause issues and sympathy. No sympathy for me just pure hatred for the morons. Last year I went to the local office to renew license and tag and there was one person (1) !!!

Good Afternoon Your record has been updated . YOU ARE VALID.

    Office of Motor Vehicles
    PO Box 64886
    Baton Rouge, LA 70896

    225-925-6146

    Your inquiry:
Received a return from your office after my last communication telling that Geico had corrected a bad cancellation should have sent the proper date at the first of this week. I see no update but just an empty return from you with no status update. I am returning one more time the proper cancellation notices and I would like a proper update if it is not too much to ask. My Truck has never been uninsured and there was no 8 day period with no insurance. The date was the 27th of April Progressive wrote the new policy, that 05/05/2023 is the first installment date. You will see the first payment in the Initial transaction for a new policy with Progressive. I was still insured by Geico and it never lapsed. This is all Geico's fault, I complied with all the state laws and had insurance.

@Faye Fox I found this comment regarding the Poshmark ID validation issue on Reddit:

Everyone goes through that after a few purchases. When i got it there was no way i was sending them a picture of my ID or passport. You have to email support and ask them for another way that you can do the verification. When i mailed them they wanted a bank statement of the card i was using, and they told me to blank out all the unnecessary information. I sent one in and everything was blacked out except for my address, the bank name, and the last 4 numbers of the card, and they accepted it. It did take them 2 weeks for each reply and finally unblocked my account after 4 weeks though, so it might take a while. I think another posher said she emailed them and all they wanted was an email verification.

Apparently the issue is verifying that the person who is using that credit card is the actual cardholder. Of course, this would only been an issue of the Billing Address and Shipping Address were different.

The only time I have encountered a requirement for a copy of a driver's license or state ID was to ensure one is a resident of a state to obtain benefits. For example, I (or any Alaskan) can receive a refund on sales taxes collected in Washington State but we have to provide a copy of the DL or state ID.

It's a really odd thing to ask. I wonder if (and why) they get hit hard with credit card fraud. I had some fraud on one of my cards, and the guy was only able to buy some sports underwear with it because that was the only business that did not do Address Verification Service, and the shipment went overseas. As I said, if Ship To=Bill To, then I see more exposure in having custody of all that identity data that I see in card charges for something going to the card holder's verified home. Besides, wouldn't the merchant be covered the same as the card holder? There's conflicting data on the web regarding internet (no physical card) charges.

Perhaps Poshmark has had a high number of charge backs from all sources, not just fraudulent charges. But asking for this data seems a sure-fire way to reduce your customer base.

OK, so I had some plumbing work done on out house. Fixing dripping showers and a rubber pipe installed in the basement to ward off pin hole leaks.
I am a prepper and have some precious metals downstairs. I went down to get a gold bracelet and it wasn't there, after these repairs, by a few weeks. Some silver coins were also gone. I have never had anyone go through my stuff on a repair call. But no one else went down there except me and my challenged daughter.
Not sure anything can be done.
    I really liked that bracelet.

Sorry to hear that, nothing worse than someone stealing personal property. I would think maybe it was the repair person. The very least you might do is go to the local police and have them check the persons records if there is a pattern of suspicious or criminal activity they would find out. If the person is sketchy then you could file a report for theft. The first thing a person would do is try to hock the metals at a pawn shop since they do buy but then they also require some type of proof of ownership to buy gold and silver etc. If that person stole from you it is certain he targets everyone. My Brother and I were sitting around talking about criminals and he told me about the local sheriff department there in Pahrump Nv where we lived, there was a person going around to new home sites stealing materials and they caught the guy one night ... he was 75 years old. My Brother was saying thieves don't retire. He must have been in pretty good shape because I am 75 and can just do well enough to get up each morning and feed cats.
