The is an article in today's Epoch Times regarding the inhaler issue. The lead paragraph says Biopharma corporation GSK (formerly GlaxoSmithKline) will cease the manufacture and sale of two extremely popular branded asthma inhalers beginning next year [2024] in favor of producing generic versions, triggering concerns about insurance coverage and product access.

Since insurance plans largely do not cover the authorized generic equivalent of Flovent, patients may now have to get a new prescription for a different medication in the middle of the winter respiratory virus season.

The article is behind a paywall, so I attached a pdf of it (with appropriate attributions) in case you want to see what's going on with this, Hedi.

    I know it is.
I saw a video a couple of years ago and the “Karen” was suggesting that the signs had to be moved thereby directing the deer to cross in a safer place.
It comes pretty much hand in hand with the twinkie who said that instead of killing animals for meat, we should just go to the grocery store to get it.
    * and no, she wasn’t talking about hunters.*

When my son was a little guy and wanted me to buy something, I told him I didn't have the money. He said, "write a check, mama." :D

I just abruptly hung up on a C/S person, I could NOT understand her and kept telling her so and wanted someone else, but I just had it and hung up, so many companies are hiring the illegals flooding in here from all over the world, and not just Mexico ... they NEED to stay in their HOMELAND and deal with it all, Yes their leaders are corrupt and so are ours...but we have fighters and do our best....grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I ended up fixing the issue I called C/S about, it was for a issue in the grocery company I get deliveyr....

One of the reasons I retired @Joy Martin was, as my hearing deteriorated, I could no longer understand foreigners with heavy accents on the phone. I don't think most were illegal, but they were immigrants who hadn't mastered English yet. They were willing to work, though.

There are some with the calls routed to India. I was angry when I called and took it out on the poor C/S woman. They probably felt like all Americans were hostile, having to deal with infuriating situations they know nothing about and did not cause.:(

I guess the best recourse for not understanding a customer service person would be to ask that person for someone whose first language is English or someone who speaks English better to help us.
Better that than to chew someone out for something they can’t help.

Hire and pay English speakers in this English speaking U.S.

Speaking of paying people in their country, the minimum wage thing has gone NUTS in some states, like Calif....stores closing left and right...rents out of sight and wages too.....

Yep, concerning the minimum wage increase, the consumer is really going to see the increase. And, I'll bet that the minimum wage increase still won't be enough for many. IOW, many things today have really "gotten out of hand!".

I couldn't agree with this guy more. He left out a few diseases that are dangerous, notably diphtheria and pertussis. There are vaccines for these diseases that kinda work, but they are not perfect. I saw an outbreak of diphtheria in Georgia, and it was totally missed by everybody. Kids were getting sick enough to shut down the schools and nobody knew why, until a doctor who had served in a medical mission in Bangladesh recognized the symptoms. Other doctors missed it since they had never seen a case even in training, and everybody was vaccinated, so it was ruled out anyway. The doctor sent samples to the state health department and it was confirmed. Pertussis is already rearing its ugly head, especially since we have switched to the acellular formulation that has fewer side effects but is less effective. Yellow fever is coming back and I believe I heard about an uptick in malaria too. Both are mosquito-borne, but the carrier mosquitos had been wiled out in the U.S. The vectors are coming across in luggage and such carried by illegals, and since DDT is no longer allowed, these will be much harder to eradicate again. The blood supply can be contaminated by parasites like malaria and other diseases as well, since there is not a practical way to test for them.

I do wonder though. What is a "cold Mississippi morning"? I didn't think they existed.
