Maybe too old for that heating strategy as well.... I did the same thing when I was single and living in central Illinois, but I would never do the same now.
Windy and in the 20s. I think perhaps @Lulu Moppet got some of the snow she was hoping for. If not, there is another storm moving eastward.
52º tomorrow. Very cold this weekend. 17º Saturday morning, high of 35º. No snow. Then they are predicting 66º next Thursday.
it actually DID get up to 16 for a second today. And next week they say it will make it to the 30's. Maybe I can get some outside stuff done quickly.
It’s not just cold, it’s derned cold. Isn’t it ironic that the Spanish word for “freeze” is “Helar” for indeed, to have weather like we have been having would indicate that hell itself has frozen over. This is the South and the South doesn’t have below freezing weather for a couple of weeks straight but yup, I guess we do. Huntsville is almost at a complete standstill because the streets, roads, the Parkway and the freeway are all coated with frozen snow and ice with most of them totally closed. Where’s all that derned Global Warming? It ain’t here so somebody has GOT to stop paying that carbon footprint stuff and leave it the heck alone. We were doing just fine and then the pickle guy, John Kerry and his melting iceberg friend, Al Gore said they paid for their carbon footprint. Speaking of, who collected the money for that carbon footprint stuff? I think whomever is charging and collecting the carbon footprint tax should be incarcerated for being a total idiot. I also think there should be a couple of changes made to that infamous Pink Floyd song to: HEY, GRETA! Leave our weather alone!!!
What a fun picture. And I remember enjoying the snow like that, ice skating, tabogganing, sledding... But back in New York it didn't get this COLD generally. They should pass a law to cause global warming.
Well, UPS and the Mail isn’t running: Schools have been closed all week: No trash or garbage pick-up. Take a wild guess how the weather is here in sunny Alabama.
