Its like the toons keep coming up with more things to aggravate us. I know its not their fault I can't see good, but I'm sure it affects many others too. I tried to change it to darker screen and print but can't. Jake has different laptop than I and his has changed to medium grey colored print too.
John the print bon our screen used to be darker. Now it is more of a medium grey than black like it used to be. There are no settings for it. I darkened the background but can't darken the print. Why?
If it's everywhere and hit both of you at the same time, the first thing I would do is run a virus scan. If you're on WIN 10, you're protected by Windows Defender. Use these instructions on how to run a scan.
I also just noticed when I enlarge the print it gets darker, I know what your thinking but it really is lighter. I use the black background on YT. When Jake visited Facebook, it is light too on my laptop, not sure about his, his has small screen. Mine is hooked up to tv screen.
You're welcome. Rather than enlarging the font, you might want to try the browser's Zoom feature. You can zoom into websites using the View/Zoom command from the toolbar. This is much easier than changing the font, and you can instantly do a custom size for each website. Short Explanation (do this now) Hold down the CTRL key and tap the + key repeatedly. Hold down the CTRL key and tap the - key repeatedly. Hold down the CTRL key and tap the number 0 key once. Long Explanation -To magnify one level, go to View/Zoom/Zoom In --Repeat this to magnify more and more and more ---An easier thing to do is to hold down the CTRL key and hit the + key repeatedly -To reduce one level, go to View/Zoom/Zoom Out --Repeat this to reduce more and more and more ---An easier thing to do is to hold down the CTRL key and hit the - key repeatedly -To return to the default (100%) size, Go to View/Zoom/Actual Size --An easier thing to do is to hold down the CTRL key and hit the number 0 key -Your browser will remember the most recent Zoom Level you were on for that website, so that every time you go to any page on that website, it will be at that most recent Zoom Level. --Each website's most recent Zoom Level is kept even after you close/reopen your browser, and even after you reboot your computer. Like most of us, I have a bunch of websites I visit daily. I Zoomed In to the best level for me on each website, and that setting is retained for every one of them every time I go to them. Sometimes I'll zoom in even further if there's detail I want to look at (like a coin on EBay.) If I forget to zoom back out, I can do it next time I go to EBay just by hitting CTRL - or CTRL 0
Thanks a lot John, Jake said he will help me do this and between the two of us we can get it done. Jake told me to wear glasses but since I had that stroke and lost part of vision, they make it look cross eyed, so I just will enlarge.
I really recommend you read what I typed, because it allows you to enlarge the font size on-the-fly for each website.
Basically this site and YT is about it, sometimes search engine or news site. I have YT black background screen with white letters and I can see that really good too.
