Has anyone had any issues with Walmart.com?

For the past week I have been trying to get access to my account. I had some items in my cart and was ready to check out and was greeted by a verification screen. Ok, so I clicked on the access code link where I would receive the entered code to access my account. I got nothing. I tried three days straight at different times during the day. I finally called customer support. The rep said he will forward the issue to the technical department and to wait 2 hours and try again. Nothing so I waited til the next day. I did get in without the verification screen. Nothing was in my cart. Well at least I was able to access my account or so I thought.

After remembering what was in my cart I tried again and the same thing happened. So out of frustration I created another account using my gmail and entered my order but didn't checkout for fear something else would happen. I called customer support and told them to delete my account under my other email since I couldn't get access to it. Done.

This is not the first online account that I've had this problem with not being able to receive codes for verification by email even after being forwarded to the technical department.

I ordered a couple things there recently and had no problems. When I got on their website they recognized that it was me from a previous order. Are you using the same computer and browser the same way as before? There should be a cookie on your PC from Walmart.

I have some stuff due for delivery tomorrow from Walmart.com

I have never been asked for a verification code from them (or from Amazon), and I have 2 different Verizon MyFi routers that would make me appear as different computers, since they get restarted every 2 weeks so change my IP Address (it causes minor issues elsewhere.)

Even if you lost your cookies ;) you should still be OK. If you're not receiving Access Code emails, you should check your email's Spam folder. Or perhaps you're using a different email account for your notifications (have you changed email accounts since you set your accounts up?) Go into your account profiles for each site and see where you told each one to send Access Codes.

It is possible that they have just been overwhelmingly busy because of the Fourth of July extra orders, and the servers were having problems. I remember that happening to me before, but it was a couple years ago, so I do not remember much except finally contacting customer service, and it eventually got straightened out.
I have never had to change my email account with Walmart for any reason.

FWIW, I placed my order on July 6 and it hit the post office in Pennsylvania July 8.

The same computer and browser. I can only think of deleting cookies but I have done that before and never had a problem with signing in afterward. I truly believe that the problem is on their end. If I was able to access the website after the tech department got involved and still didn't get the verification codes through email.

Good that you were able to get that issue resolved then but trying for a week to get access was really irritating.

Checking my spam was my thought too and I did each time and still nothing. #1 I've never been asked to be verified by the site before. I couldn't check my Walmart profile but I did check everything else and no problems.

You may have had a typo unnoticed. I've done it before. It could have screwed things up.

Everything I read on Walmart's site about the codes says that they are sent via text to your phone#. Did they make you give your cell# when you set up the new account? I hate that.

    I wasn't prompted for a cell# when I created my new account.

I beg to differ on that. If there was a typo it was on Walmart's end. As a matter of fact when I think about it I have never gotten a confirmation on any of my orders this year. I just checked my past emails and I definitely haven't received any confirmations from Walmart for 2024.

I would say that you got an email issue, either something wrong with the address that Walmart has, or something wrong with your email provider. Especially since you've had issues with others.

Who do you use for your email (don't type your address.)

I have had Yahoo as my primary email for years. For some reason 2024 there has been two issues so far. It doesn't make sense that it's only been two incidents for it to be a problem with Yahoo. I just believe it's human error, not me though.
