I saw this earlier today, and wondered what the heck it's all about. My understanding is that before the assassination attempt, the parents called the police out of concern for their son (they are both social workers.) Lots of folks also believe that the FBI and/or other Federal agencies had contact with the shooter before the assassination attempt. A private group got the shooter's cell phone records (outbound and incoming), yet that quietly went away. So why would the FBI not just let this lay if their hands are dirty? And why isn't the press swarming all over the parents (with it being all over the evening news) if the Feds are in contact with them as suspects?
I only have questions, no answers, but I still don't trust the FBI, the SS or the Biden administration, for whatever that's worth.
Trump is ok, he was not hit and it's not positive that the shooter was firing at him. According to Hannity who has spoken to Trump an AK-47 has been recovered. I saw some stuff posted on the net, but didn't have the details. At least this time, the SS shot at the possible shooter. Everything is quite fuzzy though as to what really happened. If there is a real assassin around, I doubt that an AK-47 would be the weapon of choice.
They are now calling it another assassination attempt. It sounds like they have arrested the shooter, and they found the AK-47, a backpack, and a Go-Pro, so he planned on shooting President Trump and then recording it at the same time. The SS agents saw what looked like a rifle barrel and started shooting at the would-be assassin, and he left his rifle and gear and ran away. President Trump is safe, and the police have a huge barrier up around the whole area, maybe searching for other shooters involved. The golf course is closed down while they investigate the shooting. I am not sure, but it kind of sounds like the SS saw the guy and shot at him before he even had a chance to shoot at Trump.
Hannity is a pretty good source in this instance because he's talked directly to Trump and other members of the family several times since this happened, as well as the guy Trump was golfing with. The SS did have a drone up and there is some kind of footage which doesn't mean we will ever see it. CNN is reporting it was an assassination attempt, Yvonne. Hannity won't confirm that. There is to be a news conference at some point from a local sheriff they are saying. Fox is reporting the shooter was within 200 yards. If that is true the SS failed again. Also reporting that the shots were fired by a SS agent at the guy with the gun.
Here is the first picture they are showing of the arrested suspect. The police said he and the vehicle would now be turned over to the FBI to continue the investigation. After the terrible way they investigated the last assassination attempt, I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. But regardless, President Trump needs better protection , and all of our prayers for safety and protection for him and his family.

Lots of info coming out on Routh. He supports Ukraine in the war with Russia and went over to fight. Newsweek has this interview with him complaining because countries did not send troops. Sheesh. Go anywhere on the Internet with the slightest left-leaning editorial bias and you wouldn't even know this event occurred! Bring it up, and watch the mob descend on Trump blaming him for it and declaring assassination "just desserts." Push back against the hate speech and be summarily banned. You can almost hear the jackboots marching in unison.
He apparently owned some kind of roofing company and at one time had boarded himself up inside his building and had a standoff with the police over a traffic stop. Sounds a little whack a doodle to me. But, the two back packs he had hanging on the fence were filled with ceramic tiles. I wondered about that but then it came to me that he had the presence of mind to position the tile filled packs more than likely as protective devises to keep himself from being shot.

There's a parallel story to this in that the decision to have a round of golf was supposedly spontaneous and unplanned. So how did the guy know to be there?
