That is what I would say. Outhouse use in winter isn't pleasant.

When I was furnishing the barn house I got an antique thunder mug with a lid. I refer to it as our second bathroom.:D

    Kinda going with the vein,
In the days of the Carter administration, it was an unseasonably cold morning on an exploration oil rig about 90 miles out in the gulf from Morgan City, La.
Had we known about global cooling at the time, we might have been better prepared for the freeze instead of expecting it to be warmer than it was.
    I digress.
Matter of fact, it was so cold that all the sewage lines from the commodes as well as most water lines were frozen.
Shift change at 7 A.M. meant that half the rig had gotten up earlier to have breakfast and use the “facilities”.
Note: The galley had gas stoves and buffet warmers and the clean water was unfrozen because the tanks and pipes were all insulated and inside.

    The Middle of the story:
Did ya ever stick your tongue on a frozen flag pole?
Well, some of the guys got the bright idea to bypass the filled commodes and instead, sit on the frozen railing outside to do their morning business.
    The problem?
When finishing, they found that getting off the railing was much more difficult due to the fact that not unlike a tongue on a frozen flag pole, some of the men’s “boys” were frozen to the railing.
    Solution:
Being the innovative person that I am, I told my galley and BR hands to grab some pots of warm water and go pour the heated water on the men’s “equipment” until they were released from the railing.
After all was said and done, the men had a really good laugh and went to work like it was just a normal day on an oil rig.

    The rest of the story:
Whilst the above story is true and still funny to me, it wasn’t long after that incident that our good President decided to cancel all the permits and have the exploration rigs towed ashore all in the name of saving our eco system and I imagine some alibi about global freezing, warming or whatever.
The Government led by Carter didn’t realize that men work derned hard doing a dangerous job just to make a better than average living for their families, a living that was canceled in seconds by the stroke of a pen.
Just like the XL pipeline that Biden shut down, real men, real taxpaying citizens were treated like they were nothing at all and left jobless all because of a bunch of elitists who only care about their personal back pockets.

If man made global warming, climate change or whatever it is, is an actual problem, it can be solved without endangering the lives of families on a whim.
Real men want to work and not have to live on hand-outs from the Government or anyone else but it seems that all the Governments know how to do is put people out of work and worse, emasculate men to the extent that they become part of another problem instead of the solution.

How about planning things and then go into that plan gradually whilst giving people an opportunity to make their livelihood and lifestyle changes just as gradually, say, a whole generation or two kind of gradually.
Instead of trying to do things quickly and making it a “legacy” of a ruling body, do things wisely for a change.

Most of those snap decisions are made to please a political special interest group and have no real substance or thought behind them. Just as all Biden's cancellations of stuff during his first week. There was no thought put into the impact or the downstream effects of the actions; it was all done to please some of the nutty Democrats and their crazy ideas. Carter actually invented the "Special Interest Group" strategy (per Hamilton Jordan in his book Crisis) and Democrats have followed that plan ever since, leading to a party of special interests rather than the best interests of the nation as a whole.
