    In other words, I would love to be excited to know that it will be resolved on Monday or Tuesday, but I've heard it before. That doesn't mean it won't happen this time, and I am excited, as I have been before, but I don't know that it's a done deal until it's done. As a reminder, if this does come about, there will be a period of downtime while the new nameserver data is propagated, and that is likely to differ for each of us. Some of you might get access to it again before I do, so don't get confused if you hear that the site shows up for someone else but not for you.

    An easier way to save pages in Wayback is to install the Internet Archive's Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge browser extensions, or its iOS (iPhone) and Android apps. With the browser extension, you can set it to save any page that you visit while in that browser that hasn't already been saved, or which hasn't been saved in the past 24 hours or whatever you set it for. Or, through the extension, you can click "Save Page Now". I almost never do the Internet through my iPhone so I haven't installed the Internet Archive on my iPhone, but I assume it works similarly. You can find the browser extensions in the Tools list on the left of the page HERE.

    I’m having trouble getting pages to load …and my friend who recently joined the games is having trouble logging in

    This is what I get when I try to play games …..the internet seems ok cause I’m using a fast one in the city

    The only thing you can do is refresh the browser page, Kate. It's interesting that the problems seem to have abated for others. At least, Don Alaska said he was OK, and I don't think I've had issues so far today.

    @Kate Ellery, that's probably related to the problem discussed in the posts above yours. I hope it can be resolved early next week, but unfortunately, I have no personal control over it.

    I let the one contact I have for the hosting company's parent company know about the Resources problem, but that may continue until we can fix the main issue, which is having the site moved to an active server that I can access. The Resources problem has not been resolved because I just got the nag a moment ago. Meanwhile, consider us as sitting on an old computer in a corner of an empty building, waiting for someone to notice that we're there or to shut the electricity off.

    I’ve been having trouble with my iPad freezing at times again ….no where near as bad as it was …..so I lashed out and bought a small laptop yesterday and DH is going to set it up for my today , it will take me a little while to get used to the windows 11 system seeming I’ve hardly used a laptop in years ….its a Acer

    To be honest I got a bit confused by so many on display ….so I ended up settling for this one cause the assistant was vet good / knowledgeable and Recommended this for speed / colour clarity etc etc … oh I’d asked before @Yvonne Smith about getting a laptop.

    If someone follows through and takes care of our server problems, setting me up with an account that I have access to would mean not only that we would resolve the "Resources" problem we have since I'm willing to pay for whatever resources we might need, but we could also update the software that powers the forum, which is currently about nine years old, and have the benefit of whatever new stuff they might have added, plus I could add other things to it. I love this forum and don't want to neglect it, but I am wholly dependent upon someone else to fix the problem, and they don't seem interested.

    I've already explained this elsewhere in the forum, but here's the story for those who don't know what's going on. When I started this forum, I chose a hosting company that specialized in hosting sites running XenForo, the forum software I had decided to use. It was a company recommended by XenForo, which probably meant they received a commission on sales. But, given that they specialized in XenForo sites, it was reasonable to assume that everything we needed would be there.

    Indeed, it worked great. However, a few months later, that hosting company was sold to another hosting company, so there was no longer a focus on XenForo sites. They focused on gaming sites, which was okay since the forum still worked. My access to the database was still intact, so it was no problem.

    However, that company was bought out by another company that wasn't as responsive to problems. Keep in mind that the bigger the company is, the less dependent it is on any one customer. I didn't know my hosting company had been sold until the site no longer worked. Intending to contact tech support, I went to the hosting company's site and found a notice that another company had acquired them. There was a link to that company's site.

    However, when I navigated to that company's site, my login didn't work. I tried contacting them, but I found that I could not do so without an account, and while I had an account, I no longer had access to it. The only working contacts were for the sales department, and they would refer me to tech support, who wouldn't answer because I didn't have a working account. Finally, I posted on their Facebook page. I got an answer fairly quickly from someone who promised to set up my account on the new hosting company and gave me the nameserver information to transfer the forum to the new hosting computers.

    That worked, but no one actually set me up with an account that I could log into. I was still being charged for hosting fees because the account was connected to my PayPal account, but I didn't have access to the account.

    Then, that company was acquired by ColoCrossing, which is huge. Someone there replies to my emails, unlike those in the subsidiary company now hosting the forum. However, while I can see that he is cc'ing someone with the hosting company in his messages, no one in the subsidiary company actually does anything about it. That's where we are at.

    It might sound like an easy matter to move to another hosting company, one that is more responsive, and I could easily set up a forum with another company. Still, I wouldn't be able to move the forum there (all of your accounts and all of the messages posted here since 2015) without access to the database, and I would need access to my current account to do that.

    If no one follows through on this, someone will eventually pull the plug. At that point, I could restart the forum.

    I could set up a new forum using the same domain (seniorsonly.club) since I do have access to that domain, but that would immediately erase everything since 2015, including all of your accounts. It would be a brand-new forum with no members, and, to be honest, I don't know if I want to start over.

    I've thought of starting a second forum, like SENIORSonly Club 2.0, but then we'd be competing with ourselves. Some would be here, some would be there, and we wouldn't have enough members in either place.

    I'd rather stagger on, hoping to be able to get on a good footing again without starting over.

    I kind of co-opted your HTML idea without realizing it. Those instructions I posted are exactly what you suggested. I looked at user settings and cannot find a "Number of Posts Per Page" that you see in some places that let you adjust the number of search results. Swapping Styles did not change it, either. Going to Page 100, the last comment is #1500. The last post on page 266 of your thread is #3990 with my forum settings. The math makes it 15 per.

    So, uh, congrats on hosting a 276 page thread. ;)

    I used to be able to download htm files here. But since the "limited resources" problem started, when I try, it downloads a file with that minimal formatting that sometimes shows up (and you have to refresh). It happened every time I tried it. Even when I could view the page fine, it downloaded that way. I may try it again late at night.

    Anyway, I just saved everything in pdf format instead. In Microsoft Edge, all you do is tell it to print the page, then change the printer to "save as pdf file."

    I got all the information and threads backed up I wanted, in pdf. I'm good, no matter what happens. I should have kept doing this all along anyway. Then there wouldn't be so many missing images.

    Maybe post the issue on the Xenforo forum.
    Perhaps some of the members there have had a similar issue, been able to resolve it and could help.
