I hope all that live in the path of that violent storm will check in here ASAP so we know they are alright. Does Shirley Martin still live in N.C ? Just devastation in so many places right now.
Shirley does live in North Carolina, I am not sure what part. (Maybe @Steve North knows more about that ?). I have been worried about her and sent an email yesterday, asking her if she was alright and letting her know that we here are all concerned how she is doing. I also asked her to please just check in with the forum when she is able, and I have not heard back from her yet. I think that so much of that state is flooded and power outages, that she might not have power yet either. I will let everyone know when I hear back from her, and in the meantime, we can keep her in our prayers, as well as Jake Smith and Marie Mallory, who are somewhere in Florida, and close by a river, so likely in a flood area. Edit to add: I just got an email back from Shirley, and she is fine !
Members come and go …and while I’ve got no complaints what so ever about the forum or anyone on it ….. I’m giving it serious thought of giving forum life as far as posting away ……and just pop in every now and then to say hello….however you never know with a good break …and giving 99% of the work ( which is unpaid ) away…. NO we don’t get paid…. ..we are volunteers …EXCEPT ..this couple gave me a pint size tub of yoghurt and DH a 2 Ltr tub of his favourite Ice cream …for 5 weeks work … Maybe it’s an age thing where you just want to sit and read or what ever …..who knows … so for now we are getting organised to go home after being away 5 weeks in Adelaide ….so I’ll catch up the second week of October ..as there is always heaps to do at our own home after being away for any length of time . We’ve had allot of time away this year and it’s time to say …Nah we’ve got our own comfy home and we just want to spend more time at home in the comfort of our own home The internet here is making it almost impossible to stay online as it continually drops out after 2 mins or so
As much as we talk politics as opposed to AI progress, things ethereal, etc, I hope he comes back after the election.
