I really liked hearing Pete Hegseth get nominated. Before today, I didn't know the full extent of him background, but I think he's good for the job. I thought Bongino would have been the best secret service director but I don't know a thing about Radcliff at this point.
Trump nominates Matt Gaetz as Attorney General, subject to Senate approval. Matt has been the U.S. representative for Florida's 1st congressional district since 2017. He held office in state politics since 2010.
And now we have Matt Gaetz for Attorney General. Florida is losing their lawmakers, because Rubio is also from Florida, so both of those will have to be replaced. I read that Lara Trump is being considered for one of those temporary positions. We also have Tulsi Gabbard for director of Intelligence. We are seeing a really good cabinet shaping up !
(Yvonne beat me to it, but here it is anyway.) Trump appoints Tulsi Gabbard as Director of National Intelligence. Tulsi had been Candidate for the Democrat Presidential Nomination in 2020. She is a United States Army Reserve officer (deployed in Iraq and Kuwait) and a political commentator. She served as U.S. Representative for Hawaii's 2nd congressional district from 2013 to 2021 and was the first Samoan-American member of Congress.
The Secretary of Defense seems to be the most controversial selection for the Left. Hegseth seems to be very qualified, but because he is from Fox his detractors really haven't looked at his qualifications. Democrats are truly shocked by how fast Trump is putting things together.
Rubio is a shoo-in, Like I said, I think Hegseth is the most controversial as he wants the Wokeness out of the military and he wants war fighters in charge. That might not sit well with the Senate.
It's gonna be interesting. Given that some in the military are openly talking about defying orders, they undermine their own standing to judge anyone else's fitness. The Senate certainly cannot defend that, can they??? (he asked rhetorically)
I believe these are the Cabinet positions Trump has yet to fill/make nominations for: White House Press Secretary Director of the FBI Director of the Office of Management and Budget Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy Secretary of Agriculture Secretary of Commerce Secretary of Education Secretary of Energy Secretary of Health and Human Services Secretary of the Interior Secretary of Labor Secretary of Transportation Secretary of the Treasury Secretary of Veterans Affairs Chair of the Council of Economic Advisers Administrator of the SBA
I thought Kristi Noem was nominated for Homeland Security. Another controversial pick. She will be in charge of one of the most important departments.
I can't put my finger on it yet but I have reservations about Noem as well. I'm also not sure what that position entails but I can look it up.
Here's one so-called leaked list. I'm not saying this is accurate, but I think it could be: https://photos.app.goo.gl/RRop6KyCvpTRqtS86
