More from 38North There seems to be a lot said that is being "lost in translation". Is the intent to gain viewership, smear the presidency, or something else?
says it all: the American media landscape is now tumultuous, diverse and highly politicized, polarized and partisan.
Here is Biden meeting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman: Of all the destruction Biden has visited upon this nation and all his corruption over the DECADES that never goes reported, this had the media upset big-time. Why??? Because last year, Biden declassified information blaming the crown prince for approving the capture and murder of journalist and dissident Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist killed by Saudi officials in 2018. So "the global media" is supposed to be the hub around which our international relationships revolve? Besides, it sounds like Khashoggi paid a horrible price getting the truth out there about a corrupt system (assuming his motives were pure) while his western counterparts are the most egregious propagandists the world has ever seen. They are not worthy to speak his name, much less claim kinship, much less make themselves a primary international concern. I've scraped better off of the bottom of my shoe.

The 'intent' might be anything to people involved in the deceptions, but the purpose overall is death-dealing. That's the main object of society, using any and all means that are convenient or inconvenient, expensive or cheap, easy or difficult, no matter - drag everyone down no matter where they are.
It has now been released that Comcast, who owns MSNBC apparently, is going to put the network on the market next week due to terrible ratings and low advertising revenue. Things have gotten really bad since the public has learned how much the network lied to them--and is still lying to them--about Trump and the election. Dave Rubin has offered $500,000 for the entire thing tongue in cheek, but he hopes Elon buys it and makes the staff broadcast MAGA news. I suspect there are going to be so many unemployed "professional journalists" that you might be able to hire one as your pool boy (if you have a pool).
Gee, I'd hate to see Joy Reid, Racist Extraordinaire, lose her job. I was reading last night that CNN is laying off about 100 people, including "on-air" personalities. Interesting.
It may be that they are following the "Musk Model" from Twitter/X. He laid off a large part of the staff and got a better, more efficient organization at the end.
LA Times has now announced that they are firing the entire editorial board. The owner implied he was done with the wokeness. It might also be an attempt to avoid investigation for election interference. Jack Smith, one of Trump's chief persecutors, will reportedly resign before Trump gets a chance to fire him. There are reports that he WILL be investigated for election interference. It has been said that Trump's supporters will look into any and all who attempted to turn the legal system into a political weapon. I don't know if Trump himself will be involved in any of this directly, as that might look like he is doing the same thing.
I wonder if the larger transgression hasn't been the cover-up for Biden's state-of-being. I would hope that would lead people to wondering exactly who had been making the decisions behind the scenes with no one looking out for the truth. That debate performance may have shocked a large part of the public out of their malaise. I also wonder how the public sees the media's role in the assassination attempts, both as stirrers of the pot as well as letting the government off of the hook on so many levels. I would not want Musk to buy MSNBC, because those who think it's "fair & balanced" today would obviously believe it to be titled in Trump's favor. There would be an implied bias to even the most casual observer.
Gee, I was just thinking that with all the layoffs at the Liberal Mouthpiece Networks, there won't be any "opportunities" for Karine Jean-Pierre in January. Tsk.
I read somewhere that Musk is considering buying MSNBC. I am more interested in a neutral news network than a rightwing one, and, while the left will portray anything that's not leftist as being rightwing, Musk is not a rightwing guy. I don't care who owns it. Hire people to run it and instruct them to report the damned news, period.
I don't know if Musk said he was interested in buying it. I heard from Dave Rubin that he, Rubin, hoped Musk would buy it.
