No, I am saying it worked for me. Everyone reacts differently to medications. There is a product I have used for 20+ years called "No Salt" in place of salt. Also read the labels to look for sodium content. Sodium is almost everywhere in our foods. You might want to ask your doctor to reduce the potency of whatever he/she is prescribing. It could impact the bad effects of the meds.
Skipping your meds is not ideal. How many mgs in each pill? Long ago I was in the same boat on Losartan 250 mg. My doctor switched to 125 mg and I have been fine ever since.
It is definitely different as we age but not unexpected. I'll be 77 in January and the differences started showing up around 71-2. Most of my friends have passed and none of them gave much attention to their health.
I take half of 125mg. So does Jake and it brings it down considerately on both of us, sometimes into 60s D and 50s S. Last 3 days I cut coffee in half, this am BP was 126-73-70. .
I'm 75. I sprinkle cinnamon over oatmeal every morning too although it may not work if you drink lots of coffee and eat too much salt. I cut coffee in half, lowered salt intake. Research on Cinnamon's Effects on Blood Pressure Cinnamon has been used for centuries in traditional medicine. Renewed interest in traditional remedies has prompted formal study of potential benefits and safety.2 Some studies show promise, but it is important to remember that many of them are small. More research is needed before healthcare providers can recommend cinnamon supplementation. Here is a short interesting article about how drinking kefir can help lower blood pressure. It is also beneficial for kidney failure, because the helpful bacteria in fresh kefir can help heal both conditions. https://www.culturedfoodlife.com/kefir-and-your-blood-pressure/
Yvonne I can't find thread where I started Kidney Restore, I think this is day 5? It does seem to help with speeding up urine flow, so far this is great stuff. Thank you so much.
@Yvonne Smith , in case you didn't see this post, I wanted to thank you for the Kidney Restore advice, seems like it works pretty good for me. I put some in Jakes food too. Also just drink it with water in small glass, then drink plenty more water.
That is great news, @Marie Mallery ! I add mine to my coffee most mornings, and I am going to start adding some to my ice cream in the Ninja Creami, too. A lot of people are doing the low carb/Keto way of eating, and they use a product called Keto Chow, which is a meal replacement powder that you make into a shake or other recipes. It is really expensive, so I am not going to use that; but I did get some of the sugar-free Meal Replacement Shakes from Atkins and Premier Protein, and will start making my Creami’s separate from Bobby’s and use the protein drink and the acacia kidney restore and my mushroom supplements in the ice cream. The difference is that the MRS have added vitamins and minerals, and the regular whey protein that Bobby uses mainly just has protein, and he takes his own supplements along with that. So, his shakes can have things like bananas, eggnog, and other high-carb fruit in it, and mine will just be the cottage cheese and MRS and the acacia.
So far it works good for me, I take a break from it every so often ,but not more than a day or so. So far we just eat yogurt but hopefully we can try the Ninja Creami too.
Ever since I can remember (as a little girl), I have loved ice cream. It was my mother’s go-to food whenever anyone was having a bad day for any reason. She would share a bowl of ice cream with that person, or take them to the local Drive in, and they had ice cream cones and talked about the problems the person was having. I am totally addicted to ice cream, more than any other food, and if I have some, I want it every day, even though I know the commercial ice cream is not really ice cream, it is a bunch of frozen chemicals that cause addiction to the sweetness, and is terrible for my body and makes it hurt all over. Once I start, I can’t stop; so I have just not had any ice cream for several years, except a few rare occasions, and then I had to break free all over again. With the Ninja Creami, I am actually able to have ice cream and feel good about eating it, for maybe the first time in my whole life as an adult. I can make it with healthy real foods, and it is so simple to do it with the Ninja compared to any other ice cream machine. Of course, you can use it to make regular ice cream with sugar and heavy cream and custards and such, but I do not do that. I basically make a healthy smoothie in the blender and freeze it in the Ninja containers, and the next day I have healthy ice cream. Now, I am going to make it even healthier with the meal replacement shakes that add vitamins and minerals.
Yvonne you have to rememebr I have 4 Ninja dogs, hens yard and hosework to deal with. @Yvonnw, also this mornign I snmorted some of your Kidney Restore. I pushed the air out to close it and a blast came in my face. Hope it is also good for sinus cavities. Ok this is my ytpical post, I can't type and when I look fown this is the effects. I was basically saying I snorted some Kidney Restore.
What type pf laptop do you have , @Marie Mallery ? Maybe it has a talk to type function ? I know most of the phones do, because that is how my son always messages me, and he enjoys being able to just speak his messages. I think my tablet probably does that, but i have not really tried finding out.
LOL, that isn't going to happen, I am basically new to the web, only about 20 years. In between this caring for this animal farm. We did have horse, donkey, ducks,5 chicken breeds and cats. Now I'm teaching dogs 2 shelter and 2 previously badly abused neurotic dogs\.
