I know of a few who show compassion and seem to be not only good performers but also good people. I'll start off with Paul Young ,
Paul and wife seperated for 3 years, in that time she had a child with her boyfriend. Her and Paul got back together his wife developed brain cancer ,Paul cared for her till the end and raised her son from the affair. I'm sure Paul too had his share of women on tours, but most men wouldn't be so forgiving. Forgiveness seems to be more of a woman thing, I Think he was a good man, and I liked his song.
So what is there about Paul Young that makes him a good person? I recall that song but don't remember reading anything about his personal life.
Never mind, I see your second post. I know so many men who are doormats, I gotta disagr Yeh, your second post appeared as soon as I hit "Post Reply."
I understand what you're saying, it is just that more women for different reasons I'm sure seem to forgive extra marital affairs more than men. What celeb do you think is a good person considering how fame can wreak havoc on a person's ego.
I'm not sure I agree with your "women are more forgiving" statement, but that's my understandable subject male viewpoint. I think that Gary Sinise seems to be well-grounded, but he's not a singer. I can't think of any singers off the top of my head who are good people or who "do good works," and even then, you gotta question motives (publicity, tax deductions, etc.)
True but most feel like they don't need to help anyone ,thinking they are doing enough just performing for 'us' and millions of bucks of course,
Yes, it's all according to the person. Regarding Dolly...it's a public event. Motives are hard to tease out (not that I think ill of her.) I wonder how many things like that are done by celebs and we never know about it.
