@K E Gordon Keep us posted on how it's going. I'll have to read up on it and see how healthy it is. I have to be careful, it's a delicate balancing act with my health, and it doesn't take much to throw it off. Fatigue is already an issue, so I'll wait to hear how you fare with it, maybe your body will adjust to the rotation. Good Morning, Y'all. It's sunny right now, although the sky is pretty overcast. Everyone's fed, including myself. Just toast and tea lately for breakfast, so that's pretty quick and easy. Hope everyone's enjoying their day!
'Mornin'. Having a low energy day, again. I could have easily just sat in my chair watching Fox news all morning. But, I forced myself up, up and away. Like Super geezer. Gonna be hot and humid today, maybe rain showers. I hate that. Always used to love cold weather. Now, I can't seem to get warm enough. When it gets hot outside, if it's humid I can't breath and have to turn on the air. Then, I'm cold all day. Well, those are my complaints for the day. Got trash to haul outta here. Gotta check Facebook to see how the rest of my family is doing. Behave yourselves, or you'll get caught, like Hillary.
Hot and Humid here today as well. I suppose I will end up putting on the AC today but truthfully it will be more for the cat than for me. I can tolerate the heat if I don't move around too much...which is something I try to avoid at all costs.. I don't have a lot planned for today though. It will just be "work" and probably doing a quick errand. Y'all come back, now, ya hear ?" The Beverly Hillbillies.
So, here is what I learned today: Birds are not fond of sunbathers. I know that this is supposed to be the Good Morning thread, and it is now almost 4PM out here in Alabama; but maybe it is morning for @Holly Saunders or some of you others that live far away from here. Anyway, I am going outside right after morning coffee now, and doing the watering of the flowers and veggies because it is getting pretty warm here this week, around 90 all week. Then inside and outside a little at a time until everything is finished. So, I missed the morning writing this time around, except for wishing @Bill Boggs a happy birthday. Anyway, this afternoon, I decided I would go out and sunbathe on the little outside zero gravity chair, in my cut-offs and tank top. I have been putting bird seed just outside of the back door and we enjoy watching the birds and squirrels eating and playing out there. They think that the whole yard is theirs now. They were totally NOT impressed with having a sunbather in their midst, and they did flyovers, and sat on the roof and squawked at me, and other similar maneuvers. Finally, the doves just said, "we are coming in to eat anyway", and down they came. All the other birds were calling to each other , "look ,the doves are eating ! ! " and down they came , too. I guess we will have to find a different place to feed them soon because out there is where we are going to set up the new swimming pool. I do not want them doing flyovers and leaving bird droppings in the pool.......
@Bill Boggs A very Happy and Blessed belated Birthday wish to you...hope your special day was wonderful in every way! Whatever your plans are this weekend, be safe, and be blessed.
Mornin'. 70 degrees and rain all around us. It's 9am here. Got caught up in an old movie earlier. It just ended a bit ago. "The Most Dangerous Game" with Joel McCrea, Leslie Banks and Fay Wray. It's a 1932 movie. I remember reading the story back in my misspent school years, and being fascinated by it. So, not much going on here today. Friday is race day for my grandsons, but there's a chance of a rainout. Speaking of racing, last night TV sucked so bad, I broke down and rented a pay-per-view movie. It was "Gearheads". All about small town, dirt track car racing. The fairground stuff. It was entertaining, considering what the regular TV fare was. Might have to turn on the air. The humidity is making it harder to breath. Remember our service men and women.
@Bill Boggs Happy Belated Birthday, Bill, hope it was a special day! Good Morning, Y'all. The sun is shining, what a welcome site. I hope it starts drying up the excessive water we've been getting, especially those north of Houston. Some of the ditches here were full last night, but hopefully that's drained off by now and we won't get more for a while. There were some lives lost and also animal lives, which I always hate hearing. I didn't even have the computer on last night, the storms were right overhead and very severe. Thankfully no rotation, though. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
Good morning, woke up to a beautiful 78 degree Spring day! All is quiet and peaceful outside, put the "Oklahoma" LP on, and make my "Cloud Nine" waffles! Just a perfect day, here! Hope it is where you are!
Mornin'. Been up awhile and going at it. Done the laundry. Just resting a bit, then I'll do more stuff. Not too much more. Don't want to get any bad habits started. We have 72 degrees under overcast skies at 9am. Good chance of thunderrain this afternoon.
After several months of drought, the parched ground had finally tasted water again. For almost 2 weeks now, we need not water the plants which we do twice a day before the rains came. And it's raining everyday for at least 30 minutes so it is a happy occasion because the water bill will be cut in half most probably. And although we still use the air conditioner sparingly, for sure the electric bill will be even less than half. And an added bonus are the smiling faces that I see everyday where before all they sport are poker faces and all I hear form the are expressions about the hot weather. Truly, summer has ended and it's nice to see the grass growing by the roadside and the sight of green leaves of trees are refreshing. That all makes for a happy Sunday today. And before I forget, today is May 29, the 4th birthday of Pipoy... our pug. So there will be special food for dinner and the usual cake with candle-blowing and pictorial as well.
