It puzzles me as to why ISIS would pick a gay bar to shoot up. Is it because it has become a major rights issue in the news, is it because it is a hot political issue? if so why would ISIS give one care about issues that are so domestic ? I can't help but think there is something so much more to this attack than they would like us to believe. This just does not fit what I would think of as a terrorist attack.
I am thinking there is far more to this than some nutcase who hated gays. Mir Seddique, the shooter’s father, only hours before the massacre, posted a video called Provisional Government of Afghanistan on a Facebook page, pretending to be the president of Afghanistan, ordering the arrest of several Afghan political figures. In a YouTube video, he declared his candidacy for the Afghan presidency. Speaking in the Dari language, he is said to have seemed incoherent at times, switching back and forth between topics. The shooter’s father has long been a supporter of the Taliban, according to the Washington Post. He also uses the name, Seddique Mateen, which is the surname that his son had only recently adopted. The shooter’s father operates a non-profit called The Durand Jirga. Both he and his son were registered Democrats.
It is being called a terrorist attack because of his nationality. I am not sure that they have confirmed with the suspect that it was done in the name of Allah. There is still much to be discovered about the incident.

After the Oklahoma City bombing, a retired United States Army General, an expert on ordnance, bombs and their effects, and one wanting serious "closure" of the event, conducted an extensive study of the bombing, including his own having viewed the building's interior after the bombing, and wrote a concisive account. He concluded two very important facts: the "truck bomb" detonated in the street could not possibly have caused the damage, and, only explosive charges placed on interior building support columns could have caused the destruction seen. He submitted his report to the person in charge of the Congressional Investigation, Senator Trent Lott. Lott shoved the report under the table, it was intimated. The "Wiki" concensus of this event is loaded with clouded innuendos, well fabricated, and intended to dis-arm any thoughts of conspiracy. Several facts remain to be resolved, but will likely not be, ever. First, normally on a Tuesday, hundreds of Federal Agents would be present in the Alfred P. Murrah building. On THAT Tuesday, there were NONE in the building. Second, it had been announced at least 6 months earlier that a replacement location was being sought for the Murrah building operations. Third, President Bill Clinton was at the exact same time, embroiled in public opinion dispute regarding his extra-marital infidelity. It was hinted, the bombing was intended to relieve public pressure from Bubba's daliances. So: why was the building blown away when NO Federal Agents to speak of, were in it? The country is divided Ike It's going to get worse, including "friends" relatives, if we stand up for what we believe. I know the "other" side thinks their right too. So the division. I will never believe in some things Clinton stands for, or Obama, never. To me, the "left" is all about how horrible Trump is, and Trump, to me, seems all about helping America dig herself out of the damn hole we've dug ourselves into (with a lot of help from the "present" government). That's just how I see it. I think we've talked about it here, maybe not, but I have wondered how far the Obama's, Clintons, and the likes, would go to get rid of Trump. Would they orchestrate a "shooting"?? Maybe another topic hey. I'm not usually the one to bring up something so extreme, but I've seen a lot since I've started paying attention, and it's pretty frightening.
I believe there are conspiracies in government, and although I don't distrust everyone in politics, or Washington DC, I believe the conspirators are growing stronger because "we the people" have sat back in our "comfy" homes and let it happen. And believe me when I say I include myself in that "we the people"
