Mornin' all! I need a vacation... *badly!* It's been a lousy month! Anyone up for a road trip to some exciting spot in the country??? Started with a trip to the emergency vet a few weeks ago.... over SEVEN hours there without food or water and I'd skipped breakfast... well, down I went like a sack of bricks right in the middle of the waiting room. They called an ambulance and other first responders and I was sooooo embarrassed. (Good news is that kitty is fine now and so am I...) Two weeks ago, Urgent Care with my daughter... high stress. Again. Last night... four hours in the ER with my daughter whose antibiotics from Urgent Care apparently caused some big issues for her... not allergy to it, per se, but that stuff can be toxic! Anyhow, it's a new day and I want to make the best of it. It's raining and there's a storm coming for this afternoon, so it's the kind of morning I like... soft rain and cloudiness. I don't think it will be a severe storm, so no tornado watches this time. How ya'll doing this Thursday morning?!
@Ike Willis Maybe they could put a pool table at your Doctor's offices...no bars though...you could play pool while waiting to see that Doctor.
Good morning everyone! I wish for a cloudy day here, just doesn't happen in the summer. Beautiful sunshine 300 days a year....YUCK! 100 today but it's climbing back up the next few days. No plans but have tons to do. @Mari North , you had some scary times, hope it's smooth sailing for you from now on. Hugs! @Ike Willis , I feel for you...I have lots of tests coming up and I'm dreading every single one, even the peeing into a cup. @Babs Hunt , glad you got to chill some after your trip, for me when I visit the 3 little ones for a month, I'm worn out and need to vegetate. Good morning all. @Mari North , it sounds as if you wouldn't be able to find time for a vacation, even if you could come up with a close destination. Maybe what you need is a spa day. @Babs Hunt , you sound the opposite of Mari, she needs a vacation, and you need a time out. Maybe a vacation at home. Pull down the shades, put the car in the garage, and don't answer the phone except for those with caller ID. @Chrissy Page , I hope your starting to feel better, but unless those chores are a must, just ignore them until you feel like it. @Ike Willis , Since you live in a senior's community why don't you start a weekly card game? A couple of friends have suggested that to me since I can't get out that much in the summertime I'm setting in the cardiologist office again for the third time, waiting to see if they can get a needle in somewhere so I can take that stupid chemical stress test. In the last month I been stuck almost two dozen times. They can't get blood out, or find a vien to take in anything. After today, if it doesn't work I'm giving up on it. So everyone drink lots of water, and don't get too overheated. Have a great day!

Wonder If you are meant to take that test, then I pray that our Creator will open up a vein for your testing this morning and you will be able to get this over with once and for all. I actually have been on a mini "home" vacation since last Friday when we got back from Texas...and since my family knew I had been helping in Texas for 3 weeks they have all been very thoughtful in letting me get the refreshing time I have needed since getting home. I am almost refreshed because I am thinking that I want to go do some things...but do not have the energy for getting up and out quite yet. I sure hope you are feeling better Ina.
Good Morning everyone! It sounds like everybody is doing OK, despite personal challenges. I mean what choice do we have really?? Anyway, woke up to pouring rain this morning..I am blessed that the internet has stayed on and has been functional this morning because some days when it is like this, it is terrible. Anyway, one thing the rain has brought is coolness...since the AC people don't show up until tommorrow..I am a happy camper.. with the cooler weather.
They already have card games and bingo, day trips, cookouts, ice cream socials etc. But, I'm a recluse of sorts. Sometimes I go for days without seeing or talking to anyone, except online.
Oh, no worries, @Ina I. Wonder ... I'd find the time somehow! So where do you want to go for that spa day? Honolulu? No, I'd have to fly... wait. Uh... anywhere that a bus or train could take me. Let's try for NYC... we can take in a Broadway show or five. I know I'm a lot closer than you are to that huge apple... just a few hours from it.
@Ike Willis Well get yourself that new souped up Scooter and start some Scooter races...that will get some blood flowing faster for sure!

Well, it's my evening but morning for many of you - so GOOD MORNING all of ya .... today in Epernay, north-eastern France, we had the hottest day so far. It topped 34°C (93°F) and was very humid after all the rain. I see that a lot of you have challenges in your lives to face today and most days. Here's wishing you all as smooth a sail as possible though the hard parts of the day and love and laughter in the best parts.
