Mornin'. Another late start this morning. Know what? I don't even care. I ain't doin' nothin' or goin' nowhere anyway. Slept more last night. Feelin' pretty good right now.
If I had a car, I'd fill the tank with gas, stop at Hardee's for a couple of breakfast biscuits and coffee, load my camera and just roam the back roads most of the day. Like I used to do back in better days.:)
Even further back, in my childhood, I would be forced to endure a Sunday mass with my parents. It would always be the 6am mass. Unlike normal parents, my folks couldn't stand to stay in bed a bit longer and attend the 8am mass, or even the 10am mass. They always had to be at the first one, "so you got all day to do what you want". I got up early every day for school. I just wanted to sleep.
When we came home from these early morning attempts at salvation, mom would start the noon dinner. It was always potato's and usually a pork or beef roast and several kinds of rabbit food. Dessert was a pie or cake.
After dinner, I usually got roped into helping with the dishes while dad would go for a nap, promising to take me fishing when he woke up. I would then spend the afternoon making as much noise as I could, eager to hit the ol' fishing hole.
Winter time meant there wouldn't be any afternoon fishing trips. But, on our farm the front pasture had a long, nicely sloped hill, with a creek at the bottom. All you had to do was steer your sled so as to hit the little tractor bridge, and you would skid right over the creek and on.
So, one afternoon, the right runner of my sled went off the side of the bridge, bringing the sled to a sudden stop. I flew on solo for a few yards, picking up some gravel and bridge plank splinters in my belly and knees on the way.
Anyway, childhood was a fun ride. Happy Sunday y'all.:)

Good Morning, Y'all, and happy Sunday.

Ike, maybe you could take that drive with the kids/grandkids one of these days. It sounds like a lovely trip, and is just the type of thing I like to do, too. Hopefully one of these days I'll have a better vehicle and can do just that.

It's a really hot one today. I was going to run an errand, but I think I might put it off until tomorrow. The back's acting up and making things difficult today, so I might just take it easy.

Hope y'all have a great day!

Thanks Patsy. I know I've mentioned this on here but maybe you weren't a member yet but

He was born May 25, died June 25, and we married July 25. One of those weird number things.

It would have been a little better if the died and married where switched but oh well. I would have had an extra month with him though.

Good Morning, Y'all. Love never dies @Chrissy Page I believe we'll all be reunited with our loved ones one day. I hope your happy memories help you through the day.

I just had a gorgeous cardinal couple on the balcony. That hasn't happened in a couple of months, such a nice sight, and I love their pretty songs. I do believe they are our departed loved ones, coming to visit us, and I take comfort in that.

It looks as if we might be getting some stormy weather this week, so I'll be running errands today or tomorrow, before they hit. Hope everyone has a nice day.

Mornin'. Had trouble getting to sleep last night, so I took a couple Tylenol PM's. Bad mistake. This morning I dumped out the bottle. Last night after I took them, when they started kicking in, my muscles and joints started doing spasms. That lasted some hours. Never had that before, so it must have been the pills.
Tonight I'll probably watch the 'crat convention. As much of it as I can take. I watched Obama's campaign speeches in 2008. I saw what was coming. Tried to warn people, but they wouldn't listen. It'll be the same with Hillary. Everyone will be stampeding to elect the first woman president, never mind all the corruption, lies, dead bodies and scandals she'll bring with her.
There's lots of things I should be doing today. I just don't have the energy nor the inclination to get at 'em. Think I'll take a nap.

Good morning. Running late today. Allergies make me a mess but worth it if we get rain later in the week. Nice to be able to stay in bed and not have to call in. Retirement does have its benefits.

Mornin'. Today's the day. The day I do some of the stuff I shoulda done over the weekend. I don't wanna do it now either, but I gotta.
I was like that in school too. I would put off any homework over the weekend until Sunday night. In high school, the last year or so I just wouldn't do it at all. Nun of the none's :D could stand the thought of keeping me over for another year. I skated through on D's that shoulda been F's.
Anyway, I was up at 4am, had my coffee and corn flakes, and am just killing time before I go load the washer and start laundry.
Slept better last night. Watched American Pickers for a while, until I got tired of seeing Mike buy junk and try to convince us that people are looking for pieces of rusty scrap like that.
Then, I found a Sally Field movie I hadn't seen. Can't remember the name, but it was pretty good. Always liked Sally Field.
A house got shot up last night, just a few blocks from where I live. It's getting scary out there. Learn to shoot back.:)

Good Morning. Trash Day, just like it is every Tues. but I never seem to remember. Mad dash around house, collecting
and then roll the can to the curb.
Thinking about getting a smart watch band thing to remind me of stuff like that. Saw one with heart rate, alarms, sleep something or other.
The idea of writing little notes to myself, not working. Can never find the notes in time.
More coffee and the search for an old movie to watch. Enjoy your day.
