I've got my coffee tins ready, but got side-tracked with other things. I am still going to make it though, and do like those colors. The collandors be hard for me to come across
Hi Chrissy, do you think you can make them with the plastic colanders? I never checked, but I will to see the 99 cent store has any metal ones, plus you can always designed them yourself.
Hi Rachel, it's Denise that wants to make them. It's too hot were I live and were in a drought, the less things I have to water the better. Bad enough grass is turning brown. It's 111 degrees today and I can only water twice a week.
I love that hanging planter idea. I don't have any paint though. I live in an apartment and water all my patio plants with secondary water. The cats water dish (fresh water twice a day) or if I don't drink all the water from my water bottle. I've heard of people putting buckets in the shower and if I needed more water I'd keep a bowl in the sink from rinsing fruits or vegetables and use that for plants. I really try to be conservative with water.
I'm sorry I have missed this thread. I'm also looking for a hanging planter for our mint herb. A gardener said that the best for the mint is a hanging pot so the branches will not touch the soil. When you harvest some branches for use in the kitchen, it is not very dirty unlike now when our mint is in the front yard's planter box where it crawls on the soil. But I want a hanging planter that is made of clay. It looks more natural than a metal planter.
