Now a chocolate malt is something I haven't had in a good long while. I wonder if you can buy malt powder in the store. If I wasn't such a Blizzard fanatic I would order one the next time I go to Dairy Queen. I am going on a trip next weekend...maybe I will find someplace where I can get a chocolate malted. I had a financial thing last night too @Diane Lane .I was at my normal grocery store...and they suddenly declined my PayPal payment when I knew for an absolute fact, I had money to cover in there. So, I used another card...but I called PayPal this AM and they said, there was no evidence the payment even hit their system...so it has to be some glitch in the payment processor at Food Lion..I hope this is not going to be a normal thing...I use my PayPal debit card in there all the time!
I've just checked my malt drink its Ovaltine and although its termed as a 'malty drink' it has added cocoa in it Good morning all My drink helped to get me off last night but me ankle woke me and that was that - 'DANG !' I just love that word Hope today is good for you all xx
@Joe Riley - honest Joe, I've been singing that very song past two days ! Love Roger Miller - I'll say it again - DANG !
I'm my own worst enemy. Last week I kept a couple teenagers, and they wore me out. I got such good reviews from the kids, (I should have taped their mouths shut.), that another couple asked me to watch their 'three' kids for a four day weekend so they could go to Las Vegas. But school starts on the 22nd around here, and I felt sorry for them. Dear Creator, please give me the strength not to pinch their little pre-teen heads off. It's been raining for two days, and I'm stuck in this cabin with them. Their parents are due home tonight. I've decided that if asked again I'll be asking for money. Maybe that will deter any further requests. I'm so sore ! ! !
@Ina I. Wonder Ina You deserve a lovely surprise to lift you, I hope you have a nice relaxing evening and a lovely day thereafter x
Good Morning to Everyone....Top of the morning to you! not really said in Ireland but in the Heat of the NIght with Rod Steiger. I was pleasantly surprised to see last night, that as hot as it may be now, Fall is really coming. When I went to the lake last night, the water which I thought would be very warm almost hot, was cool. I guess a function of shorter days, and overall cooler temps. My friend the little dog is coming today...ARF! Have a good one!
Hope you're right Karen - we are heading for a HOT week here and today is bloomin hot as it is Now where's Ike - hope he's not been swallowed up by a sinkhole
Mornin'. Getting off to a late start. Had a very bad night. woke up at 3:30am feelin like I was suffocating. Couldn't get any air. Felt like I might black out. About to call 911, but held off and glad I didn't call. It was probably the high humidity of 98%. Humidity went down and breathing got better. Back to normal now, if anything about me is normal. Gonna look at dehumidifiers later. Washer on my floor is busted. Gonna hafta take laundry to wash room on another floor. I hate that. Ain't had breakfast yet either. My whole day is all out of kilter. I hate that too. I think I hate almost everything, right now. Only slept less than 3 hours. Seems like all I been doin so far is gripe, gripe, gripe. So, I'm gonna go get some coffee and maybe one or two of those breakfast biscuits Jimmy Dean made for me. Y'all behave out there. If you ain't behaving, you must be having fun then. Carry on.
Cool morning, all! Just came in from church....we recently added AC in the sanctuary, which provided blessed relief! @Ike Willis , I have been concerned about you lately, and hope you are OK. @K E Gordon , a cool swim at the lake sounds delightful.....and the rest of the day to you!
Good morning everyone! 106 today but that's typical. I got up too early, than went back to bed and slept til 7:30 And like Ike I'm off since I never do this....usually stay up no matter how early I get up. Now Im groggy and will need more coffee. @Ina I. Wonder , I'll be watching my 2 oldest grandsons sept 6 for a few days. 17 and 12 and only the 17 yr old can be problem....pushing the envelope on how late he stays out. Out of my 5 grandsons the 12 yr old is the easiest....an angel! Then later in the month when I'm in Illinois I'll be watching the 10, 7 and almost 5 yr old. Now, those 3 wear me out. Someone is always hungry, or crying, or bored, or wants to watch something different than the others. None og them want to go to sleep on time but then have trouble getting up for school. They're really sweet boys though and I love them but there's 3 of them and their loud, wild boys! If I had to pick one grandson to watch for a long time it would be Nicholas the 12 year old. The funniest one is the almost 5 year old though and he can be entertaining. At least it's almost over for you, Ina...I don't feel I'm ready for it this year....it's been a tough summer.
@Ike Willis - not good, you need to drink plenty of cold liquids now and I don't mean beer Alcohol just raises yer temperature - be
