Ice cream sounds good to me Patsy Faye. I went to my favorite grocery store yesterday and bought light Peanut Butter Twirl ice cream. Good Morning Everyone!! Speaking of the peanut butter theme I had a peanut butter filled doughnut for breakfast it was awesome! Another muggy and hot summer day. but relief is in site..we had storms last night that knocked out my internet and TV for a good bit of the evening...Getting to be a daily occurrence...So glad, I am escaping to the North this weekend.:):) Have a great day!!!!

Good Morning, Y'all. The storms that have been training through here the past few days knocked out my power & everything else for a bit yesterday, but everything's back. It's going to be another rainy one today. Glad I have nowhere to go. Still all quiet at the neighbor's, so either he's lying low, is in jail, or maybe some other type of institution, not sure. The kid's bike is gone from the front lawn, so either someone showed up and put it away, or it was stolen. Either's a possibility.

I made a cup of tea in the middle of the night, then forgot to drink it, so I'm having it for breakfast with the last of my lemon blueberry bread...yum!

@Ike Willis You should write a book about your exploits, I'm sure it would be popular. I'm glad you have good dreams, they're so much better than the other kind.

    Have a nice day, everyone!

My poor brother has hit s very rough patch in his cancer treatment. It reminds me to be happy that i get to wake up and not have chemotherapy. That for now, i don't have to think of who to leave my personal items to nor spend my days sleeping because of pain medicine.

Mornin'. So, here I am, and it's only 4:30am. Sleep last night was a on-off thing. It seemed hot in my apartment. The AC kept coming on but didn't seem to be doing much good.
Was gonna get an early start on the laundry but, I'd have to go up to another floor to use a washer that works, since ours has been down for a week or so. If I wait until about 7am, I won't need to go so high up to keep from disturbing the other inmates.
My youngest daughter was up too, at this early hour. She has to work but has lots of trouble with her back.
Back trouble seems to be a family thing. I remember my gramps having back surgery because he couldn't tie his own boot laces. "Surgery will fix it" they said. So, he had the surgery. Afterward, he still couldn't tie his own laces.
Didn't turn in a grocery order this week. I'll probably regret that later. My game plan was to use up some of the stuff I still have. Stuff like cans of cream of crap soup, bag of noodles, bread, peanut butter, ground beef. Don't know what I can make out of all that, but it'll keep me alive, I guess.
Had a fun night last night. Helped Dean Martin shoot it out with Bob Mitchum in "5 card stud". Good flick.
Well, I'm off to the 'warsh room'.
    Happy hump day, y'all.:)

Good morning folks. Gotta lot of mowing to do today if it stays dry. All the rain we've had not only makes the grass grow fast, it also makes it too wet to mow.
Ike, cream of crap, ground beef and noodles sounds like a good meal And a peanut butter sandwich too.

Good Morning, Y'all, Thanks for making me laugh! I hope it's a good day for everyone.

@Texas Beth I'm sorry you're having to watch your brother go through this. I hope in the end it's worth it, and that the treatment works. There are some times in our lives that seem to drag, then the good ones seem to speed by. I hope your day gets better.

More storms yesterday, today and probably tomorrow. I'm feeling it in my body and head, so I might take it easy today. Definitely don't have to concern myself with the overgrown lawn, because there's no way I'm cutting it in this weather. I was hoping to do another vinegar treatment on the weeds, but that will have to wait, too. Got a nice cup of tea and piece of toast, so I'm all set, and everyone else has been fed and cleaned up after, so I'm ready for a little 'me' time.

Good morning everyone, I used to post here faithfully but seem to forget my second time around on here. I'll make an effort, I'm sure you all miss my posts here tremendously.! :)

105 today and don't have to go out except to bring in my garbage cans later. Laundry day is whenever I feel like it.

I could probably live without a dryer because except for sheets and towels, I don't like to dry any of my clothes even if they don't shrink, I think they get worn out faster when dried.

Clothes only shrink when you don't want them to...have you noticed that? I had some things I wanted to shrink a little and even washing them in hot water and drying forever they stayed the same.

    Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning ALL! I hate when the weather people lie! They kept saying all last week that it was going to be cooler starting today..Wednesday..and it was much cooler yesterday morning! This is as opposed to today. Not only that, but roomie told me that storms are supposed to start at 1pm. I need to cut some grass badly, as we are going out of town this weekend..and even though it is going, knock on wood, going to be much cooler starting next week..I really don't want to leave the grass that long. I guess I will cut in bits and pieces...First things first I need to get gas..in the can..Have a good one everyone!:):)

@K E Gordon - ain't it the truth ! I'm so fed up with the weather forecasts that I just ignore them now (sulk and pout)
My little man and woman hanging on me wall, would come out with brollies when it was to rain, all happy when it was to shine
and gave me the temperature too ! I wish I had kept me little people forecasters - they 'were accurate' !
    DANG ! :(
    :p

For the past couple of days it has been cloudy, rainy, and much cooler. It has been wonderful! Hoping for an early autumn.
