I remember Kris from a Star is Born circa 1980. He was indeed a hottie, and was on a number of posters with Streisand. I haven't seen any pictures of him in recent years, and this is an interesting thread. I wonder if he still works at all. I think he changed his focus from singing to acting at one point in time. I think that he is a very talented person actually. I can't remember the last time I heard about him actually.
I liked Kris's looks when he got older. I think his more worn look is much sexier than his pretty boy era.
Wow y'all have awesome taste in music, if you want to listen to some light hearted fun country and folks music, check out these two https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query="Kevin+Fowler" Kevin Fowler is a classmate of mine, this link is to his YouTube Videos or Paul Thorn whom I have only discovered recently but many of his lyrics are absolutely hysterical ... Enjoy!!! https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query="Paul+Thorn"
@Sharla Skyspirit I listened to both videos, and I really liked Keven Fowler's music, but I admit that much of country music still makes me cry as I miss my husband. Now Paul Thorn would have been right up my youngest son's alley. He loved to laugh. His favorite was Merle Haggard, but my son couldn't resist a good funny, and he would have driven me mad whispering Paul Thorn's song in my ear after sneaking up behind me. My oldest son was a Marty Robbins fan until he passed at age 27. I'm just starting to listen to music again, but for the last two years music just reminds me of those I've lost. Are there many upfifting country songs out there? I admit to not knowing much about the younger country music singers, but I'd like to listen some new songs that wouldn't remind of my lost family.
FYI , last night on the n the public TV sttion they had some kind of concert featuring the late Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash...as well as Kris Kristofferson and Willy Nelson. I thought i was interesting that this thread ws just on, and the concert was on. Kristofferson wasn't young when this was filmed, but younger than he is now, I think he may have been about 45 or 50. It was called the Highwaymen. I know that was a group form way back, but that is what this was called. Kristofferson did a duet with Johnny Cash from his hit "Sunday Mornin's Comin Down."
Rolling Stone: Kris Kristofferson: An Outlaw at 80 "Country legend has faced memory loss and the death of old friends, and has also found peace – just don’t try to tell him what to do".
Yes I saw that concert a few weeks ago on one of our channels ...although I had already seen it some time before on Youtube...
I am a big Merle Haggard fan too...but mostly of his early stuff Ina....this is one of my favourites... and here's a short medley of 3 more faves of mine....also he was soooo easy on the eye...
This is so sweet...a Young Glen Campbell, got his mum and dad as guests singing on his show way back in the early 70's....but please someone tell me is Mrs Campbell singing on a national TV show without any teeth?
