Mornin'. Partly cloudy, very humid and heading for about 90 degrees today, here on the east side of Iowa. Guess I'll just hunker down here and maybe do laundry later, if I can find a washer that works and is not being used.
They got a troll loose and running amok over on the Kountry life forum. Glad I'm done with that. They try to limit stuff like that over there with lots of restrictions on what you can discuss. It clearly isn't working.
My grandson didn't do so well racing Friday night. There was a big slamfest. slowing or knocking out cars. He managed to finish the race but was too far behind.
Well, guess I better find my pants and get dressed.
If you go out, stay legal. There's cameras everywhere.

Laundry's done, coffee made and now eating breakfast, made especially for me by Jimmy Dean. :D
Very humid out. As soon an I entered the hall outside my apartment, breathing became difficult. I'll be staying in today, for sure
There was a car show in a small town 32 miles from here. Wish I coulda gone. Haven't seen my cousin since the last funeral in the family. Family is split into sub groups. My cousins husband had a couple cars entered. He has a shop and builds hot rods.

VW Jerry, her husband built. V8 motor in front.

Wow @Ike Willis, those are some nice rides. Your cousin-in-law must be doing well.

One of my son's was into auto restoration. That's how I was able to drive a '75 Chrysler Córdoba for over 35 years.

What did he do with the rear compartment of the VW? As I remember, that's where the engine use to be. I drove a '67 long ago. I was 15, and I was so impressed with the 'foreign' car. I loved the on the floor gear shift, and the great big up front storage compartment.

Not enough money in my purse. It is a week until i can get more. It is hot outside. My teen hates me right now. But I am still above ground walking and talking. That alone makes it a good day.

Good morning one and all. I plan to spend this morning working in the yard before the humidity and heat take over. Working in the yard and garden is good for the spirit and the body.

I had a '63 VW bug once. It was fun to drive. Twice I got hit by full sized Pontiac cars and twice my VW was nearly demolished. Neither Pontiac suffered more than a scratched bumper.
After they fixed the VW for the second time, I got rid of it and bought a Pontiac Catalina.:)

@Patsy Faye do you not have a/c where you live? I know that in parts of the world, the summer heat isn't bad enough, or it doesn't last long enough to make having a/c's nessasary.

If it weren't for a/c's in this part of the world, I got a feeling our lifespan wouldn't get past 40.

Good Morning everyone, busy day today as I have mystery shopping and will see my son to give him his birthday present. I have to try to get back here before it is too dark too, as these roads are no fun at night.
That is one of the things I really don't like about this place among many, however, I can't complain to much I picked it. I just never anticipated all the hardship living here would entail. At least the pioneers had their families and community. Oh well,,,there are worse places to be, and I am trying to escape. Have a good one...and enjoy the SLIGHTLY cooler temepratures! :D:D

@Ina I. Wonder - No Ina - I wish we did have an AC
We live on the first floor and we didn't realise the 'restrictions' here, we cannot have one :(
This humid hot weather has been going on a long time and we have a few more days at least to get through
Never used to be like this, it was early 80s when humidity struck over here and now each summer gets longer with it
Its not good ........its bad

Good Morning and Happy Monday. Storms rolled through earlier, but nothing severe, although more are supposed to be on the way, and I'm already hearing faint rumbling in the sky. Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I'm going to do a little cooking and cleaning today, but am trying not to overdo it. Have a nice day!
