I'm home and everything is fine...no rats, AC cooled off the house very quickly! So far so good.

I'm a little sad that I should have been going to Illinois yesterday for a month but will go at Christmas which will be better anyway!

Time to spend some Christmases with the youngest grandsons. I've spent the majority with the oldest 2.

@Ina I. Wonder He did it for his own purposes, but I don't care. It's the end result that benefited me, so I'm happy, and I'm glad they enjoyed the brownies. Actually, by the time I got over there, his friend who'd done the mowing was gone, so was he, but I left them and a thank you note, and he and his son got them when they returned. I think he was worried about the taller grass attracting mosquitoes, and his son getting Zika, but now we're all happy, and I don't have to stress about that yard, at least for a few days. The front's getting a little long. I'll spray this week with more chemicals, then whip it later in the week or next week. If I could, I'd put astroturf out there and not have to worry about it.

Christmas with the grandkids sounds nice @Chrissy Page, and now you can settle back in at home for a bit and enjoy the new AC and no rats.

It's a sunny day here, at least for now. I think it's supposed to rain a lot this week, though, so I'll take the cats out on the balcony and feed the birds before that happens. Have a good one, y'all.

Waving hi, hey there @Patsy Faye, hope you're doing well today and having a good day!

But I will because we have a freak chilly day. Only 79 in Fresno when it's usually upper 90's all September.

I was actually chilled this morning and that is strange. Temp only 75 in the house when I woke up, it's usually around 79 because that's where I have it set for night. Brrrrr

Am I making you cold, Patsy?

I also woke up too early thanks to Mr Pickles. I'm also kind of achey so hope I'm not sick.

I almost turned on the heat, lol. I have my brand new AC turned off this morning because it's so cold.

Why wasn't it like this last week when my AC wasn't working? Answer: because that's how my life works, lol.

If I didn't have AC in Fresno it wouldn't be like a sauna, it would be like a hot oven. That's what it feels like when you step outside on a 108 degree afternoon....like you opened the hot oven door, it hits you in the face. Lol

I think I'd rather have dry heat then humid though....I've experienced that in the Midwest and I feel for ya!

Well I used the term Sauna because it is not dry heat - when its dry heat, we walk into the flat from
outside and I instantly think, the oven's on or the heating's on !
We made a big mistake with this flat, the sun pours into it and there's no escape - our stupidity and we're
    paying the price now.
Anyway, enough of me moaning, hope you're not getting a cold - take zinc and extra Vit C xx

Well I bet that little place feels good in the Winter though @Patsy Faye ! Anyway, Good Morning to everyone. Dryer delivery today Yay! I never thought I would say this but I can't wait to wash clothes! There is nothing like being without something that makes you appreciate it more, and having a dryer that actually works will be a blessing. I used to have all Kenmore appliances in here though, but I have had to replace them with other things, so now they are kind of a mish mash of brands.

Mornin'. Cool but chance of showers this morning. Been looking at winter scenes and paintings. I like the pictures of farm scenes at Christmas time. However, I noticed when these scenes are night scenes, the usually large old farmhouse will have every window lighted. Kind of unusual to have a light on in every room of a two story house, even in the attic.
The cabin in the woods scenes are pretty to look at but, the artist nearly always places the cabin a few feet from a creek or stream. And after a good rain, or spring thaw, the cabin would be in the stream. The pictures are still pretty though.
But, I'm no artist. I tried my hand at painting long ago, creating pictures that looked more like cartoons. So, I started doing cartoons and was somewhat successful. Friends, family and co-workers kept me busy for awhile.
Last night I dreamed about Studebakers. Don't ask me why. I've never owned one. But, the one in my dream was like the one in the photo, and there were some sinister types in it. Clearly, they were up to no good. But, I woke up before I could find out. So, if you see a car like this with men like that in it, run.
I need to quit watching old movies.
