I wonder if those are the revenuers Ike. That is a quite captivating picture you came across there. Maybe it is the feds going over John Dillinger or Bonnie and Clyde. Of course, I pay more attention to what the people are doing then the car! Oh well, hehe, I can't imagine dreaming about a Studebaker personally! Maybe tonight's dream will be about a Lincoln Continental.
Good Afternoon, Y'all. It's another sunny one, but that's a relatively recent occurrence, since it was pouring rain in the middle of the night. I enjoyed listening to the rain pouring down as the kitties purred next to me and I sipped a nice hot cup of tea while finishing my book. I've downloaded a few since, and will probably start reading another tonight. I've got the books packaged up and ready for the USPS to pick up later, during the regular mail delivery. It's been a pretty quiet day, which is my favorite kind. Hope y'all are enjoying this Tuesday.
@Diane Lane - what a nice picture you paint - kitties, cup a tea, rain outside and a good book - purrfick
Mornin'. Cooler here in corn and bacon land. Only 61 degrees at 6:45am. That's fine with me. Lets see what's in my appointment book scheduled for today. Hmmm, looks like I can pencil in anything at any time. Ain't doing nothing, ain't going anywhere. Last night I watched a pretty good movie. "The cardboard boxer" is the title. A pretty good depiction of life on skid row. I recommend it if you can handle swearing and violence. So, it's near 7am now and I ain't had breakfast yet. I see a bowl of cornflakes in my future. Keep your guard up. When it comes to Hillary, don't believe anything you see or hear.
Good morning everyone. Looks like we'll be getting on and off showers this week. At least the tempratures are a bit lower. If it keeps up I'll be able to come out of my summer hibernation by the first part of October. ROAD TRIP !!!!!
Good Morning everybody!!!!! I am gratified to know that today is our last hot day for awhile. It is all going to be good after this, at least for the discernible future. Even today shouldn't be too bad because they said the humidity will be low today so even if it is 90 plus it will still be nice. I will possibly swim today. Since the dryer delivery was yesterday, I am doing laundry today too of course! Lots of phone calls to make as well. I hope everybody has a great day!
@Ina I. Wonder Where will you be off to this time, or do you mean you'll be moving? Good Morning, Y'all. It was somewhat cool earlier, and I took the cats out on the balcony, to enjoy it. The cloud cover kept the temperature down, but then it blew over, and the heat arrived. It's a pretty blue sky now, with clouds around the edges, much like a bald man with fringes of hair. I thought for sure it was going to rain all day because it was so overcast, but a few minutes later, everything changed. I've misplaced my silver polishing cloth, and the tarnish on the drawer handle next to me is irking me, so I guess I'll have to seek that out later. Hope y'all are enjoying a fine Wednesday.
Hi @Diane Lane , I've decided to move to Dayton for sure after I sell this place, but the road trip will be my reward for minding my doctors about the sun this year. If my doctors are right, then my ignoring my health last summer is probably what contributed to my having a heart attach. The road trip will be no more than for a weekend. My daughter, (we found out I can adopt her without a lawyer.) can't get away for longer. She has been wanting to go to Corpus Christy, Tx for several years, and in the fall most of the tourist are gone. Patricia is red headed, very fair skinned, with lots of beautiful freckles, so the fall season suits both of us very well.
Mornin'. Woke up feeling great this morning. That always makes me nervous. I keep wondering what kind of bad is just ahead for me. Oh well, guess I'll just enjoy the moment. Tomorrow looks to be pretty rainy. Today, not so much. Watched "The Cardboard Boxer" again last night. It's sort of violent, plenty sad, but has a happy, surprise ending. At least, I was surprised. Some movies I keep watching over and over. "A Simple Plan", "Nebraska" and now "The cardboard boxer". I don't know why these movies have that effect on me. Maybe I identify with the characters in some way, or something. Anyone else have a movie they can watch over and over? Me, in a different voice. "Ah-h-h, you done well with the coffee this morning, Ike". Ike. "I always do well with the coffee, you dipstick". Me. "I was just complimenting you. Why so angry already"? Ike. "'Cause you drank it all and I didn't get any. What? You think you're living alone here"? Me. "I shared the coffee with Jennifer and Scarlett". Ike. "They were here and you didn't wake me? I'm gonna kill you, soon as I find my canes". Crazy? Maybe so, but that's what goes on in my head. It's a way of passing the time, confusing my neighbors and getting the elevator car all to myself. Be careful if you go out. The city just upriver from my town has a new chalk outline on a street this morning. Another shooting.
@Ike Willis - you gave me a good read there Ike I think I'll try yer system on the people I have to put up with here - I can do crazy too
Bonjour...I am trying to get a shop done today, and need to pay my mortgage,in the area however, I am in the running for a 175 dollar focus group, I don't want to miss the call. Plus as happens many times with these shops I am having trouble tracking down the agent, I am supposed to evaluate, which I need to do first before I go onsite. Well anyway, I am sure it will work out somehow. I am going to have a friend surreptiously find out when she is working o if sher has a nickname. So,,,enough with my petty dramas, I hope everyone has a great day!! It is beautiful here, and it is about time!!
Friend came by to pick up his dog I was watching. They had a great time in California. Dog was happy to see him and I was a little sad to see him go. He is the pup of my late dog, and when he looked up at me, I could see my dog in his face and eyes. Yard work ahead ( maybe...) as I am in NO hurry.
Not quite sure what you are talking about....are you the "Mystery Shopper", who gets paid to evaluate the service?
