Good morning everyone. A little cooler today, 79! I heard thunder last night...twice and I've been trying to
Find out if it really happened but it's still too early.

I have a bunch of stupid errands to do...one is go to my drs office for another copy for my bloodwork. I had that thing for more than 6 months and now I can't find it anywhere, must have accidentally thrown it out. :(

    Have a wonderful day!!

First of all, I didn't know that marshmallow was a plant. I googled it, and found that it was good for the lungs. Of course this got my attention, because I've been hospitalized for pneumonia over 8 or 9 times so far. I wonder why I've never heard of this before.

Does anyone know how well this herb works for people that have COPD. Do we have an over the counter product that provides the beneficial effects of this plant?

Good Morning Everyone! Bright and cool morning here in Central Virginia, we are to have a much sunnier and warmer afternoon. I was surprised to see many of the Midwesterner's in their shirt sleeves at the football games yesterday. Of course some of the stadiums may be fully enclosed, but usually this time of the year people are wearing jackets, and it was sweatshirt weather here yesterday. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great day! Ina, I never heard that about marshmellow for COPD but I will mention it to my roomie/boarder since he has that condition.

Hey @Ike Willis, now that was a bit of mischief, and you weren't even trying for that. :p Kids today, don't seem to be able to entertain themselves as we once did. Toys, those were few and far between, (My father believed toys were bad for kids.), but we had imaginations, and we could do just about anything we could dream up.

Back when I was 29, I was spending the winter in Sapulpa OK, and I had chosen a couple of crafts to while away the long winter days. One of them was to assemble a muzzle loading black powder rifle. The mail order kit supplied everything that was needed.

I found it surprisingly easy to put the rifle together, until I read the part that told me I needed to fire the gun at least 50 rounds to seat the barrel into the stock. Then there was the warning that if the barrel was not processed properly it would explode. It's was really hard to pull the trigger that first time while trying to stretch as far as I could away from the object of my possible demise. :D

Good Morning, Y'all. Happy Monday. Birds and cats are all fed, driveway's swept (the part w/leaves, which was about 1/4 of it, but I'll count it, and litter boxes are scooped and/or cleaned. Now it's time for a cup of tea and a little chat here. It was a trying night, but it's over. The sun is shining, and the clouds are streaking across the sky, it's a beautiful day. Hope y'all are all feeling better soon, and hope it's a great day all around!

Good morning everyone....not really, I got up too early so I have hours to go before I can leave for my bloodwork, was thinking of blowing it off again but I've done that for 6 months and I'm afraid my dr won't get the results by my appt on Monday. And who knows when I wake up tomorrow, could be worse.

I know you are allowed to brush your teeth but I felt like eating my toothpaste. :)

I just don't do well with fasting....I eat dinner early and then don't eat anything after that so I'm starving when I wake up!!

Have 3 more hours to go.....

Mornin'. Overcast, rain possible, for sure tomorrow. Then, a long dry spell with up and down temps. C'mon weather maker, just get to the cold all the time with lots of snow part.
My town was built along the river bluff. As a result, there are lots of streets on hills. When I was a wee snot, some of these hilly side streets would be blocked off so neighborhood kids could sled down them. Usually side streets that were used little. They were too steep for traffic anyway, when snow covered.
Sometimes the city workers placed saw horses across the street with a red kerosene burning lantern hanging from it. When the lanterns started coming up missing, they switched to the round kero burning flare pots. Eventually, they went to flashing electric lights.
I don't think kids have that kind of sledding fun anymore, thanks to our overprotecting, sue happy society. They even closed our main city park to sledding for a while, after some dumb kid on one of those sleds you can't steer did a header into the only pole on the whole slope.
Nothing much going on here today. Got my review over with yesterday. Tomorrow is grocery day. So, I guess today is a free day.
Enjoy your day, whatever you have going on. :)

@Ike Willis , when my kids were small we lived in a great neighborhood in Cary, Illinois. It had a population of about 5,000 and was unincorporated. Our street was a hill and the bottom ended up by the Fox River. There was a little park and pier there an it belonged to all the people that lived on two streets there.

We were almost at the bottom of the hill. The next street over was even steeper and that's the one the kids used to go sledding...so much fun in that neighborhood. A huge ski jump was also on the river there also a neighbor had a hot air balloon business there. We always had parties, neighbors went on vacations together...it was one big happy family.....moms sitting together drinking coffee and sometimes wine, lol.

Problem was we had a sump pump and we were at the bottom of the hill...we flooded so many times...we finally moved.
