Sorry to hear about your night @Patsy Faye ...hope you both find relief soon. @Ike Willis , loved your story, my hubby was in that 1956 revolution! Also gymnasium made me smile as that is what my hubby and parents went to also...it's what they call high school. Glad you're weather is better @Honey Gee! I will go to Trader Joe's today...maybe. Good Morning, y'all. It's a lovely cool Fall morning. The cats, birds and I have been fed. So, apparently, have the squirrels. They're frolicking on the balcony now. I had a female cardinal out there a bit ago, and of course as soon as I put out the food, the squirrels magically appeared. I love this time of year when the house is cool upon waking. I could stay in bed forever, it's such a delicious feeling when the sheets are cool and the blankets are at the ready. Here I sit with my Chinese Restaurant tea, yum. Have a nice day, y'all.
Good Morning all you gorgeous seniors, and happy day to ya! I am working on this report that I have been doing for days. Long story there, but aren't they all?? Anyway, @Patsy Faye, I really hope you can take a nap or something. It's the worst feeling in the world to be tired the next day from lack of sleep. I am supposed to be doing an AARP mini focus group today, I was just wondering, why they hadn't sent any reminders and I realized I didn't confirm it...Hmm, I hope somebody shows up. OK well have a good one!!! and I will 23 Skidoo...shuffles off stage left.
Morning all. A sad day for me as we are moving tommorow..We had so many visitors last night wishing us well. We are moving to the same town and will still see our neighbours. The persons I will miss the most is our elderly neighbours who was just like second parents to us. Many days spent teaching us Spanish. Too the future. Here we come
Wishing you well with the move Honey - you will still see the people you have come to know, as you say not too far away. Will be nice to get together and visits to the elderly couple once you're settled x

Mornin'. I'm off to a late start this AM, after a really bad day. Everything went well until about 3pm. Then my computer was locked up tight. Viruses. It cost me money I can't afford to get everything ironed out again. I almost said the hell with it. Then, I knew I'd miss you fine folks, so I paid up. It took from about 4pm until around 8pm to clean everything. Then, I was waiting for an important phone call last evening. So, everyone I ever knew and some strangers, all called me last night, as I waited for my call. I'm easily stressed out these days. I so want/need a drink, but I won't. So, one of my unwanted calls last night was from a political solicitor. Some gal ask if they could count on my vote for some Joe Schmuck. Wanting to free up the phone for my call, I said yes. Then she asked if I want a ballot mailed to me so I could vote now. Yes 'mam. Later, I thought about it and said to myself, "self, ain't Joe Schmuck a (gag) 'crat"? So, after my computer got back online, I checked. Lo and behold, he is a 'crat. I'm sorry God. You won't punish me for a simple mistake, will you? Well, I'll mail in my ballot and won't have to go down to the assembly/lunch room to vote. Might be a bit busy this time. No, I won't vote for Joe Schmuck. The NRA called too, wanting a donation. Sorry guys, really wish I could. But, a computer glitch to fix, medical bills to pay, holidays coming up. I'm all tapped out. Why don't they ever call when I'm flush with cash? Had money last summer. Not a peep out of 'em. Damn, I'm in a cranky mood this mornin'. I gotta relieve the stress. Guess I'll go liberal huntin'. No one better to take it out on.
Good Morning all. @Ike Willis, we have all had days, nights like that. Anyway, more of the fake summer stuff coming up. Why can't it just stay like 65 during the day and 45-50 during the night? That way it would feel like Fall, and I would be happy. I was thinking of making a Weight Watchers lasagna this weekend, but at close to 80 degrees I don't think so. A barbecue is more in order. Of course that would mean I would have to spend money on a new tank of propane.... Well on the plus side, all this unseasonable warmth is keeping my utility bills low. I just looked at the elec bill. I usually don't look at it until right before it is due...as the site of it often sends shivers down mine spine...but it is only around 100 bucks...PTL!!! and the above average temps...but not so hot you need AC. Have a good one all..
Good morning everyone! I slept ok but woke around 1:00 am and couldn't get back to sleep so I took a benedryl And a sliver of Xanax ....I woke at 5:00 and not as groggy as I thought I would be. Takes a lot to knock me out...hope I don't end up like MJ. We had steady rain last night, hope it continues. I may go out since I need a few things I forgot yesterday but it's not crucial. If it gets boring on here, I'll go out. It's all up to you guys!!
Good Friday morning, y'all. @Honey Gee, I hope your move goes well. Hopefully you will still see your elderly neighbors. That's often the toughest part of a move. I'm just back from sweeping part of the driveway and visiting a bit with the neighbors, catching up on what I've missed out on as far as family goings on and neighborhood gossip. She's got a nice new plant called Crown of Thorns. I think my mom had one of them at one point. It's mighty pretty. Just sat down with my breakfast and coffee, yay. It's a sunny day and not too hot, but I sure worked up a sweat, and will have a nice bath and read when I'm finished here. Have a great day, y'all. Oh, and I have my mail ballot here to look over later.
Mornin'. Looks like I survived another night. Or else, I died and went to some parallel universe type of place that looks like the one I was living in. I hoped for better than that. Almost forgot, again. Gotta do laundry sometime this weekend. Maybe today. I'll see if I can work myself up into a laundry mood. Well, I'm gonna get some breakfast. Good morning everyone, in the 70's so a nice day. I let a lot of things go and now it's Saturday and I hate going out but I gotta. @Ike Willis , what goes well with egg beaters is adding a real egg to the mix but if that's not an option add cheese Or veggies. I don't mind egg beaters and use them frequently.... I don't mind doing laundry because it's right on my way out to the garage so very close. I probably wash something Or other every other day...no biggie.
