I don't use a lot of apps, but my favorite is "Tangle Library". It has step by step instructions on drawing 100 or so different Zentangle patterns. It's great for when I'm stuck somewhere, like the doctor's. I can pull out my sketch pad and pen, pull up the app and start drawing. I've learned quite a few new patterns from it and had fun at the same time.
Mostly, I only use my iPhone for making calls, and texting when I am forced to do that. It is so small that it is hard for me to see anything well enough to actually read or even surf the internet with it. I use the iPad for everything though; and I have so many favorite apps there, that it would be hard to pick jut one. I guess that it might be youtube, if I have to make a choice, and followed closely by Amazon and ebay apps. I do listen to music with the iPhone since I can use the headphones, and it is much smaller to pack around than the iPad is. I also have some self-improvement/self-hypnosis apps that I listen to, and I also use the headphones and iPhone for that rather than the ipad. On the iPad; I have my photo-editing apps, and I also use those a lot, and enjoy playing with my pictures. I think as far as having an app that I actually use for something ---as oposed to Amazon, where I am not really DOING something, just buying something---- then, the photo editing apps would be my favorite ones.
I use ooTunes radio all the time on my iPhone when I'm commuting to and from work... I don't bother with AM or FM radio, since I know when I'm in a traffic jam - I don't need someone else to explain that I'm in it! But with ooTunes, I connect it to my car using bluetooth, and listen to the BBC, or radio from New York... I'm not sure why, but it's calming to hear about traffic jams in other places while I'm driving along in LA...
Let me know how you like it, and whether you decide to get it. I think it's like $2 for each "pack" and there are 3 different packs. There's another one called "Doodle Patterns" that's pretty good for about the same price.
My favorite App has to be a chess App that lets me play against the computer or on-line against an opponent. Another similar App that I like is Go - a Japanese board game. The programs for these Apps are surprisingly strong. I'm not saying I'm a chess grandmaster, but they can put up a good speed game and you can always find someone else to play against if you get bored with playing the program.
I found "Doodle Patterns" for my Android phone. It looks like so much fun! You must be very talented to sketch these patterns!
My favorite app is google play books. Other than that I dislike the other ones. I only wish to learn and I can do so in reading the other apps seem to be merely for entertainment. I also see that the processors on phones are not as good as computers and I would rather read a book on a phone than on a computer. I would play games and do computer related things on the computer.
I also love playing chess but can not find anyone to play with here. Some Thai people play but it is with a lot less pieces and I am sure their own set of rules.
My favorite apps are: The Coloradoan aka Ft. Collins, Colorado News, PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association), Facebook and Bleacher Report.
I don't use a lot of Apps on my phone, although they're there to use if I wish ..my husband installed most of them.. ''Hive;; is probably the one I use most..it's a remote app to turn my heating, and lighting on if I'm not home...it's great in the winter when I'm out I can come home to a warm cosy house. That said I can use it sitting here at my desk to turn the lamps on, rather than getting up out of my seat, but I have another remote control for that..lol I think Soundhound and ''Hopper' are the ones I use most, but even then not very often.. I have too many choices, between my Apple Mac, Windows Laptop, ipad, Google Home, Amazon Echo.. to really need to use any Apps on my iphone
