@Ike Willis - Dogs shouldn't be allowed to roam the streets Ike, over here they are rounded up for the pound Mostly it's the owners at fault, can't be bothered to train their dogs to behave Also - bitches are better behaved Steer clear anyway You would think the doggies would get sore throats with all the barking they muster
Hey you guys. Leave dogs and ex wives outta this thread. Unless it includes ex husbands. I still got a sore throat x
When i have a sore throat, I take lots of vitamin C, and eat spicy-hot foods, like chips and salsa (super-hot salsa). This combination will usually settle a sore throat down fairly fast and stop any cold that is developing along with it. Another helpful trick is to nosh on a dill pickle. The combination of salt and vinegar are soothing to a sore throat. Putting a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in your ear is also supposed to help, because most infections start in the ear, according to one article that I read. If it fizzes, you know it is getting something. Anyway, try out whatever sounds good to you, @Honey Gee , and see if it doesn't help you to start feeling better soon.
Thanks for the advice @Yvonne Smith. I am just taking in as much liquid as possible at the moment. My appetite has totally gone plus numerous trips to the loo x
Good Morning, y'all. Happy Saturday. It's a bright, sunny day here in my 'hood. It's chilly here, but I refrained from turning on the heat. The sun will warm things up soon enough. @Honey Gee I hope you're feeling better soon. @Ike Willis It's nice to know I'm not the only one the dogs like to chase! I'm having a nice cup of tea, then I'll make breakfast and possibly tackle going out and wrapping the pipes. Hope you're doing well and having a good day @Patsy Faye, and hope the packing is going well @Chrissy Cross. Have a nice day, everyone!
Mornin'. Wondered why the furnace kept kicking on all night. It's only a crisp 21 degrees at 5am here in good ol' cornfield county. The bugs are dead, the snakes are gone, time to go out and play. Best thing is, thanksgiving is just a few days away. I used to like thanksgiving at my x wife's people's houses. Especially the ones who lived on farms. After the big dinner feed, no sitting around watching football for those people. All the men went pheasant hunting in the fields around the place. Worked off our dinners. So, I got all my chores done around the ol' bunk house yesterday. Now I got nothing to do and nowhere to go. I need a hobby. Can't think of anything though. My eyesight is dimming and my hands are not too steady anymore. And, I lack the space here for much. Guess I'll go think about it awhile.
Flowers from my old garden for anyone feeling under the weather. Special big hugs to all who were concerned about my health x
Good frosty morning to all and Happy Sunday! Winter has shown it's rosy cheeks, this morning. We had a dusting of snow overnight, and it is in the mid 30's, going down to the teens this evening! The attic and cellar have been cleaned, all the windows have been cleaned and decorated for Christmas, (on Friday), and a nice crisp, bug-free day ahead! Enjoy life, where you are!
